This used to be the theme song to a local morning show called AM buffalo. Watched it almost every day growing up in Buffalo, NY.

I remember waking up early every morning for school when I lived in Jamaica to Morning Dance on the Good Morning Show on the radio more than 30 years ago and fell in love with Spyro Gyra.

i remember Mr. Beckestein signing this album cover for me after a show and mentioning that he has this painting in his house. When first painted and presented to him it had NO PEOPLE IN IT. he told the artist to put people in it, hence..... the parade in the bottom

Whatever happened to the gorgeous album covers in smooth jazz? Spyro Gyra, The Rippingtons, and The Yellowjackets had incredible album covers for their records (and still occasionally do). I understand that it has no bearing on the music but in my opinion, it's a nice addition and sometimes enhances the listening experience.

Takes me back to 1988, Chicago, Cruising lake Shore Drive with the top down. Today, i still own a convertable and every now and then, ill hit the drive with the top down and put Cafe Amore on repeat.

Spyro Gyra was one of my gateway musicians to jazz, dating back to their first release in 1978. This song received airplay on KMOX-FM in the spring of 1981.

Jay shared that he has this painting in his house. When it was first brought to him by the artist to be approved to be the album cover, there were no people in it! Jay looked at it and wanted him to add people so................. check out the parade at the bottom. A late addition to get Jay's approval!
