I recently upgraded from a 12W6V3 to a 12W7AE and it's night a day in terms of output and force. The W6V3 is clean as hell but the W7 is clean as hell with so much more authority, best sub I've ever owned hands down

What is the best way to do a free air sub test ? Since you said it is difficult unless u know what you are doing. Just curious thanks buddy I love how in detail you are with the videos. I’d love to see a square 15” kicker

this sub is capable of producing even lower frequencies .. I’ll be doing another video soon

There's no cut off on a subwoofer. It can play 1 hz just fine. The specs that they list for the speaker is called the "usable range" or "frequency response". For this particular driver it's 23 Hz to 250 Hz. When you do a graph of the output (spl) across a wide range of frequencies (Hz) you can see a plateau shape where output will drop off on the low end and the high end. The manufacturer will recommend only playing the sub in this specific range. The real world frequency range for the owner is of course going to depend on the enclosure, it's tuning and the vehicle it's placed in. For instance you might put it in a ported enclosure tune to 33 Hz and then roll off the top end at 70 Hz. Or whatever, it's all user preference.

I've used and owned jl amps and subwoofers for decades and i never used the w7 but i have the w6v3 and it's awesome but recently bought the new stereo integrity sql v2 and its way better than the w6

I heard a guy say they dont sound good compared to jl🤣as if jl is the only company who makes sq subs🤣people can be such clowns when you offend the brand they own and think its superior to anything else just because they own one😑

The w0 really do surprisingly sound so crisp. The w7 8” would play lower and louder though. W3s will knock your socks off for less

@@SQ_Silverado I actually upgraded to w3s in my home studio from w0s. I returned the w3s and kept the w0s. W0 sound much better. W3 was way too tight.

@@SQ_Silverado yes. The jl rep had told me the bass would be tighter so I figured I would give it a try. He wasn’t lying, they were to tight lol. So many people keep telling me not to change up anything on my Silverado but for some reason those w7 keep calling my name. My two w0s really do sound good in there. Thinking of just grabbing a dsp and fine tuning what I have. If I go w7 I’d do a ported box but my sealed w0s being life to so many songs with the chop that a ported box wouldn’t have. Decisions decisions 🤣
