One of my favourites has to be Shabana's dive against Gaultier at 2-2 in the 5th game of the final of the world series finals 2011.

The normal rules apply, if you lose the rally, you lose the point. However, nowadays they try to stop the rally as soon as they can if a player has dived or there's an unusual amount of sweat on the floor. Typically when the rally has returned to a neutral position. If that happens, they play a let ball.

So if you dive all over the court and put sweat patches everywhere then deliberately hit the ball to force your opponent to run over the sweat which leads to them slipping, that's just good tactics? (IF someone did that)

Nah that’s a stroke meaning that the one blocking the player losses the point, and also there’s lets we’re it is not intentional or if they just stop the point for safety in that case the point repeats (sorry for my poor English)

It boils down to three main rules. Each shot, you must: 1. Hit the ball to the front wall without it hitting the floor 2. Hit the ball before it bounces on the floor twice 3. Stay out of the other player's way, and allow them to play their shot safely If you don't do those three, the other person wins the point.

Nope, if you block the other person from getting to the ball it's either a "let" (you replay the point) or a "stroke" (you lose the point) depending on how bad the interference is.

7:27 Isn't there a rule for this exact scenario or can this at least be a let? The amount of urgency and momentum during the rally, you wouldn't see or have the time to look at the sweat mark. And then taking the blame for loosing the rally just can't be 100% fair.

There isn't a rule but the referee can (and should) stop a rally if there is dangerous looking sweat patch. That should have happened in the case in this video.

Simon, the problem is that if you make a blanket rule that a let is played if a player slips on sweat, players will starting "slipping" where there is no sweat (if they start losing the rally) just to get a let... The current ruling is that once a rally has returned to a neutral position, play will be stopped as soon as possible to clean up the sweat.

Well sorta, in the same way that Badminton is just tennis with a high net. There's some similarities (eg. the two bounces, hitting it to the front wall on the full), but there's plenty of differences (eg. you're not allowed to interfere with the other person's shot, different technique due to how the walls affect the game, etc.). It's a very different game to Tennis but there's certainly some similarity.

You say that as if it's an actual valid point, and not just brainlessly ignoring every complex factor of the sport. If we're going with that same logic, then here's a list of everybody's favourite sports: . Kick the ball into the goal (soccer) . Kick the ball into the goal (but with a stick) (hockey) . Kick the ball into the goal (but the goal is higher) (AFL) . Run the ball into the goal (rugby) . Throw the ball into the goal (handball) and of course, we can't forget: . Hit the ball back and forth (Tennis) Ignorant.
