That was a delightful video. I would like to mention one thing about fried okra. For years, my coating fell off the okra. My mother came to watch me. After i put the okra into the hot grease, i started to poke it with my slotted spoon. My mother said STOP! Dont touch until its brown on the bottom. That was why my coating always fell off. I noticed you too put it in the skillet and did not touch until it was brown on the bottom. I love fried okra.

My Daddy (deceased) loved fish, seafood better than anything and he loved to fish for his meal. He was a great cook, gardener this makes me miss him. Your meal looks delish to this Georgia gal. I enjoyed you & Chris live tonight, it was a relaxed great show. Thanks for sharing your time with us.

And I just bought up a bunch of peppers red and green and chopped them up. I have a lot in the freezer now as of a few days ago. I know this is a older video. I bought them from a local produce stand. I’m telling you this casserole is DEVINE!

I also luv how she measures too .Im just gonna pour some in .So me and so many other Southern cooks .Luv beans in the instant pot. Tammy uve gotta get a spring form or push pan to fit ure instant pot and make a cheesecake in it.It is the best cheesecake .And look up cheesecake number 17 if u ever decide too.soo easy. U dont have to prebake ure crust if u dont want to.i never do.i do put it in frezzer a few minutes though while im making the filling.that looks delicious.dont limit ure instant pot to just beans though .Theres gazlliions of upteen recipes from desserts as i mentioned the best one to biscuits and gravy lol.man i luv ure pans .

The food looked so delicious but the best part was that little hand sneaking pieces of okra EVERY time you stepped out of the frame. Lol Would you believe I’ve never had squash casserole? I was raised as a city girl in Detroit and had never even heard of it til you mentioned it. I like that you incorporate LOTS of veggies into your meals. Going to have to start doing that. Your hair looked so pretty and you skin is immaculate. You DON’T NEED makeup! Thanks for teaching me how to cook. No mother or grandmother around to show me.

I had to pause the video and go cook some squash, fried it, and coated it with cornmeal, and finished my last 1/4 of a huge tomato which in addition to the squash, daughter in law got them at a farmers market in Plano, which is opened year round. Later I’m going to have Reception Salad, or it may be known as conception salad or heaven forbid, deception salad, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I skipped Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla for this salad, because the salad just may be better. I had it for lunch today too!😂 I loved how Chris couldn’t wait for the okra, I’m the same, as soon as it starts browning I start pickin’ at it.

I fry my okra dark right before burning. Love it. I like cheese in squash. Gonna try this for Christmas day. I mix okra half and half flour and cornmeal but mama always used all flour. I like it either way.

I made the casserole. I had to make cornbread (no boxed dressing). Added thyme, sage, rosemary and teaspoon sugar to cornbread. Used about half a pan. It was delicious! This will be my go to recipe for the future. Thanks

I like to cook okra In my fry daddy so it cooks more evenly and doesn’t stick to the bottom of a pan. Yours looks good too!

Watched this with my sister that wont touch squash or okra. I guess if im gonna cook it more for me. Haha. I will probably cook a special dinner for my folks, they would enjoy.
