Looks like a great tournament this year. The court used to be a lot more dead. Perhaps the building is slightly warmer? Whatever it is, the rallies are longer this year.

Also a very disciplined match from Rodriguez. Lots of clean shots into back corners. Not too much disco time (though of course he'll always bring some!). When he was younger lack of this discipline often let him down, great to see him tighten it up.

Don't you just hate it when another brilliant match ends with a ref decision. Anyway, Rodriguez seems like cheese, just gets better with age :)

Too bad it had to end with a stroke but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, a great game to watch. All Hesham has to do is straighten up his game and he'll do better, he's got the speed and the shots.

Great clean and entertaining match! As an aside, I would have awarded Hesham a stroke at 8-10 in the fourth (just after 9:30). Some might consider it was a 'turning' situation (which I don't), but even if it was, Rodriguez arguably "made a deliberate movement to intercept the ball" by staying in the flight of Hesham's potential shot to the front wall. This award *might* have changed the course of the game (and the match)? I don't know why, but modern referees seem reluctant make this award when the ball has been overhit and the non-striker hangs on the 'T'
