Giles played the Egyptian style for the first 6 points, but this style, in order to complete the match, requires a long period of rest and physical strength because it is very tiring.

I don't know that it's that. I think it's more that Gohar hits a squash ball harder than any other woman on Earth except maybe Farida Mohamed and if she can set her feet and complete her huge full-body swing you're dead. That and her strategic blocking give other Egyptians fits as well. There's a reason she's perpetually the world number one or two.

@@animoticon165To be aggressive from the first minute. Finish the point early. Do not wait for the opponent to make a mistake. Rather, you are the one who forces the opponent to make a mistake. Try to finish the point from anywhere. Playing in front, hitting the lower balls in a strong and straight way. Running quickly, you turn into a bee on the court, but this is the method. Tired of the mind and body because of the speed used and the ball’s path changing rapidly, with your eyes on the racket and the wall at the same time

In addition to agility, speed, endurance, technical excellence, the top squash player needs the ability to maintain _focus_. Gohar is the perfect embodiment of this.

Gillis played tough but there weren't many openings. Gohar is hard to beat.

Gohar's quality is still a step above Gilis, but Gilis should be very proud because the game plan was executed very well against this very in-form Gohar.

@@montytherat1 I'll explain. Not all the man squash players have that kind of character she has. She fights to the end; she is courageous and never flops or pretends. There is no other spoiled meaning in what I wrote

Great game from both players...however one-sided commentary ... commentators trying to pin their hopes on gilis while Gohar clawed her way back to win the first set.. @squashtv kindly change the commentators for future games

Very silly. Anyone will watch such breif game he will think that Gilis won the game. Try be fair and get the balance no matter how you think that you are trying to show the good balls out of the whole game.
