WFA is one of the tools to vet strategies for robustness. I use WFM, which is a multiple of WFAs. Bear in mind that not all strategies work with this concept, as you need many iterations to get a statistical conclusion about the results.

how about pivot levels, i am always seeing gold move between pivot levels during inter day time frames, touching a level then reversing, what whould be the testing need to dertimine the move from above starting above pp on open to move r1/r2/r3 levels then reverse back to each level, and then the opposite on open below the pp

if you are talking about floor pivots, then of course that is a strategy, but you will need to know how to program for intraday, which is not as easy as daily.

The issue is: you must have a monster capital to trade this portfolio .

Like all portfolios, the more uncorrelated strategies the more capital.

There are ways to work around this. You don’t need to take every signal. You can limit the number of trades you take at any given time and select the signals based on a ranking or priority system.
