I can say, what I love that differs Dark Squid from other Splatoon villains is that she's just an inkling out for vengeance for the death of her partner, which was when they were BOTH red. for more logic, look up Inkura's situation to know the resemblance,

@@danbal5494So dark squid formally red squid not only wants revenge for the loss of her partner who she called big brother, and for some twisted reason she wants spider part of her army and to replace the partner/brother she lost? No wonder she I'd obsessed with catching spider. I assumed dark squid also has a secert crush on spider. And considering the red name inkling spider took out looks like spider, it kinda fits well why Dark squid is so obsessed with spider, since he killed dark squid partner/brother, then dark squid will make spider her partner/brother.
