I have the exact same model, it's an outstanding guitar. Not even just for the price, it's generally a really well put together instrument.

While I doubt my experience will be the same for everyone else, I bought a beaten up Burgundy Mist one a year or two ago for $100. After a thorough cleaning, fret filing, yada yada, it may be the easiest playing guitar I've ever played. A big bonus for me was the top-loading tuners. The only downside is that mine needed a bit more bow in the neck, and the truss rod was maxed out all the way in the open position. I clamped the neck for a few days, and it's better. I also swapped out the pickguard to a cream pearloid too. It's always fun to get a great deal.

Excellent review as usual . I really appreciate all your very informative well done videos .I bought this exact guitar brand new $400 CDN . It is awesome right out the box . Incredible quality . The pick ups sounded really good , except when playing with higher gain and higher volume they would squeal which is expected from non waxed dipped coils . As well I wanted coil split ability so to get single coil sounds . So I got a pair of Wilkinson alnico buckers with 4 conductor wiring and added 2 coil split switches . The guitar is now even more awesome . I have 6 other guitars but since I got this one , I play it all the time . Hard to put down . One of the best guitars I ever played . Looks fantastic as well . Rock solid axe .

I have one as well and put a tort guard on it. It looks so badass. I agree the pickups sound pretty decent! I had some alnico 4 magnets lying around and stuck them in the buckers. Didn't do a great deal to the tone but at least I can say it has alnico 4 humbuckers 🤣. I really like the neck profile on these affinties. I might buy an affinity strat so I can put that neck on this tele so it has the correct big headstock. Then I can put the tele neck on my lovely self built telecaster which has a thick neck I can't get used to. Rock on dude 🎸

I prefer that colour on rosewood fingerboard Strats tbh but can't deny I wouldn't say no to a white one ... just like Woody's in the Bay City Rollers 😊🎸

Thanks, Rob, for reviewing budget guitars built by a real company. The number of clones being reviewed these days on KZfaq is nauseating. I suppose H-B is paying the new hordes of salesmen. Squier has never let me down. I can't say the same for the likes of H-B's. BTW, I tried the above model- It's a great guitar, esp. playability, tone and aesthetics. Cheers! 🇨🇦

Those pots are really close to the bottom of the guitar. I’m guessing it must have small pots so it doesn’t have to thin of a wall to the control cavity.
