Rebuilding a NeoTec Stihl MS380 clone started after it blew up on the second time I had it out.
Anytime I'm performing something a bit new or out of the ordinary I make some mistakes with it but that's how I learn and become better.
Let's go on a journey of learning a little more.

Ain't bad if you like tinkering. If you ain't got a clue (like me) you're in trouble.

Those older Stihl's had a spring pack that you would just drop the whole thing in and it was ready to go. I dunno what in the world is going on there. #sumtingwong

@@StumpShot Just began with the opening moves with it. Will move to more coercive tactics as it goes on.

Well, in retrospect, I have a theory. 1. Shaft slipped in splined bore or not installed at proper depth. 2. Causes pulley to float on shaft, intermittent engagement in spring and imperfect rope retention. 3. Spring retainer pops out 4. Flywheel eats rope 5. Dookie makes video 6. Affirmation that these kit saws are "mid" at best

@@TraverseCreekInc I see you finally got it in there. Loctite stuff moving that ain't supposed to. But I'd rather see another entertaining vidja. 😆

What Happened?! I thought you had it all together? I'm usually bleeding about the second time I have to wrestle with the spring.

I kinda edited it a little funky. I'll tell you the sequence that happened in real life. First, I thought I would repair it. Then I said screw it and just threw another cover on it. Finally, I decided I was going to repair it after I had the epiphany about that post. When I edited it I dropped them in the wrong order and sent it, didn't realize until after the fact
