Still have my 1998 SRAD WW. Owned it since 2001 and been through R1's, ZX10's, GSXR K series, Fireblades and a Mille. I cant part with my SRAD,... power commander, TRE, K&N filter and a Harris exhaust fitted, all dyno'd and it's still the best fun you can have with your clothes on. It's nice, not having all the electronics fitted to the more modern bikes. It's a riders bike ! 😄👍

What a pleasant surprise! I had a Nitron on a daily ridden 98 VFR for years. Worked flawlessly, beautifully made and great value for money.

Keep it standard..looks mega. Got some original SRAD indicators here you could have if you put clear lenses on them to tidy the look up.

Love nitron stuff, nice quality reasonable price. James is a proper legend.

a year ago bought an all original 2003 gsxr 600 allstar edition because of these videos. i rode the early 2000’s bikes back when they were new and seeing the budget bike battle made me want one again. It has since had some upgrades but i keep the old period correct look. Out of all my motorcycles it gets the most comments now when people walk in my garage.

I'm living vicariously through these SRAD videos. I had one in blue and white with K5 headers and Ti Yoshi can with an alloy Renthal sprocket. I had to go down to one bike and sold the SRAD because it got me into too much trouble with the local constabulary. I miss it every day.

Loving the vids! Not just because of the content and the humour but because it is so relatable working on the bikes. Spending money you shouldnt just to improve (instead of the obvious choice and buying a better newer one) and making the bike your own. I think most of us enjoy this process a lot and most bike channels never really touch upon this subject enough! Keep them coming! Cheers from a dutchie!

I recently got an Ignitech adjustable ignition unit, and quick shifter for my SRAD 750. Have used them on my slabside GSXRs in the past, great unit, highly recommend

I was just looking at all these bits to do to my own SRAD and then you whipped out those Dymags, I am now defeated, dont think I'll ever afford those beauties :D I currently have Hayabusa forks on mine, apart from the bloody hideous bumper they're working lovely. Jaysus those wheels are magnificent.

Seeing this bike is bringing on the nostalgia really heavy as I remember drooling over this exact bike my senior year of high school. Ended up getting a 1999 TL-1000R the next year though.

Put a new shock on my 1995 Daytona 1200 last year, it transformed the ride. The bike was carrying its original and had seen better days, weighed a ton too. A clean, a mild hone and fresh oil on the forks brought them back to the full range of damping adjustment too for a perfect setup. Bang for buck I would spend that money on suspension all day rather than an extra 10HP at 10K RPM on an engine. Looking forward to seeing what you make of that new rear shock.

I’ve just put an arrow on my srad. It replaced an old tired rs3 with a dent that I could’ve swore needed a repack. Fired it up and it sound EXACTLY the same as the rs3 lol. Idle, wot, everything. I was extremely surprised

My first look at an Srad was while walking down the sidewalk that skirted a strip of bars. It was the Black and Gold edition and on the very tip of the solo seat cover was a sticker with the 🦅 🔱 VI. I always wondered whose it was. Maybe a team member, maybe an imposter 🤷‍♂️ 96'

Im 64 years old, I've owned my 99' GSXR 750 W since new. It's got 80,000 Kms on her. I drive it as fast as it will go almost everyday, including today. I have never upgraded the forks, or the back shock, I set the damping and rebound according to a racing book. I have a Vance and Hines can on the exhaust, same steering damper, factory sprokets, and I just don't see the need to change any of the suspension. Since brand new, this bike has never speed wobbled ONCE. Never shimmied once while driving and I drive that bike hard. My tires for the last 9 years have been Super Corsa SP V2's. The exhaust can and installation of stainless steel brake lines, and K N oil bath air filter is my only upgrade. So my question is, why upgrade if the bike is driving perfectly for me? My top speed is exactly 166 mph. I weigh 170 lbs.

With winter looming large we need at least two 44t releases a week ! As some have noticed, you weighed the Dymag with sprocket carrier and just the wheel with the OEM jobbie..... likely a good 2kg saved 4.4 lb in old money.

Great vid. Used to have 98 SRAD & a K6. Why oh why don't Suzuki make a new one. Give it adjustable clip- ons & rear sets & best of both worlds so you can soften or sharpen it to your heart's content. I'd buy one tomorrow.....if I actually had any money lol!

Good to see the old GSX-R again. Bridgestone T32 tyres for winter - yes. White wheels - sorry, no. They just have to see a grimy road and they're minging. I'm surprised how little the weight difference is between the old rear wheel and the Dymag.

Carbon wheels would been even lighter, but I know they cost ridiculously much :D

I’m conflicted, I bought a ‘98 SRAD after you ladies did the first BBB.. but, I’ve also recently purchased a ‘90 ZXR H2.. so am I team blue/SRAD or team green/ZX7R?? 🤷🏼‍♂️😄 Funnily enough, I also bought a titanium Arrow can for the SRAD.. but I took it off again and put the oe back on.. must be getting old! HAD AN SRAD 600 it had carburetors- put a full gosh and jet kit ran it on dyno gained 10hp-- if you are not gonna keep it stock paint do a lucky strike version--
