Kenya's former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and her family have arrived at Sreedhareyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital for further treatment of her daughter who got sight back.
Rosemary Odinga, who was completely lost sight due to the disease caught in 2017, had gone for various treatments in countries such as South Africa, Israel, Germany, China. They finally heard about Sreedhareyam Eye Hospital and reached Koothatukulam for treatment in 2019.
Rosemary, who returned to Kenya after a month of treatment for a year with continued medicines, got back as much sight as she could walk on her own in about three months and in a year, her life is normal with the use of a mirror. Visibility has also improved to the best possible way to lead.
Treatment as per the instructions of the doctor continued as the flight was interrupted due to Covid. Rosemary is now back with her family for further treatment due to resuming travel conditions.
Raila Odinga is the son of Kenya's freedom fighter and first vice president Jaramogi Oginga Odinka. The Odinka family is one of the most prominent political families in Kenya. Rosemary's eye disease has been the news in Kenyan media for a long time.
