Chinese debt trap myth was created by India to divide Sri Lanka and China. Don't get caught to it please. India doesn't want Sri Lanka to be a fully developed country and even training LTTE during Indira Gandhi times (back in the 1980s) too was part of that strategy. Even now India doesn't want Sri Lanka to use Chinese investments to develop into a top notch country. India does not have enough resources to invest in Sri Lanka and they will not do it either. This is the foreign policy crunch faced by Sri Lanka. Simply India is jealous of Sri Lanka resilience. They are doing everything to Indianise Sri Lanka.
