I listened to Gayatri mantra 108 times before going to sleep yesterday. And today I woke up to this feeling as if my mind's been sharpened. Nice :)

What I liked about the whole lesson was about intelligence ... When your intelligence is clear , than you will find a way out in the world . Thank you :)

The thing which make me depressing is I used to chant this when i was a child .As I grew up I stopped. But If i new the inner meaning and strentgh of gayatri mantra I would never have stopped.

मैं पिछले 6 सालों से गायत्री मंत्र का निरन्तर जाप कर रहा हूं, जबसे मैंने गायत्री मंत्र की साधना प्रारम्भ की है तबसे मेरे जीवन में बोहोत सकारात्मक बदलाव आएं हैं, मैंने गायत्री मंत्र के प्रभावों को अनुभव किया है, मेरा ऐसा मानना है कि गायत्री साधना से बड़ी कोई साधना नहीं है, इस मंत्र के प्रभाव को वो ही व्यक्ति अनुभव कर सकता है जो इसका प्रतिदिन सच्चे मन से जाप करता है, मैं ऐसा मानता हूं कि मैंने अपनी लगन से गायत्री साधना में बोहोत उन्नति कर ली है, जैसे ही मैं गायत्री मंत्र का जाप प्रारम्भ करता हूं मेरे मस्तिष्क और दोनों कानों में एक आंतरिक सनसनाहट या एक करेंट सा महसूस होता है, ऐसा लगता है कि दोनों कानों के पास अनेक छोटी - छोटी घंटियां बज रहीं हैं, मैं अपने अन्दर बोहोत शांति का अनुभव करता हूं, मेरा मन प्रसन्न हो जाता है, गायत्री मंत्र का जाप करते हुए मुझे किसी भी बात पर हंसी आने लगती है, पहले मुझे सांपों से बोहोत भय लगता था, लेकिन मैंने जब से गायत्री मंत्र की साधना प्रारम्भ की है तब से मुझे किसी भी प्रकार का भय नहीं लगता है, गायत्री साधना मैंने स्वयं ही शुरू की थी और ये अब मेरे प्रतिदिन दिनचर्या का अभिन्न अंग बन गई है, अब मुझे मंदिरों में जाकर मूर्ति पूजा करना आडम्बर लगता है, अब मूझे मुझसे उम्र में काफ़ी बड़े पण्डित और पुजारी अज्ञानी लगते हैं, मुझे लगता है कि हम निरर्थक ही मंदिरों में जाकर मूर्ति पूजा करते हैं, किन्तु मेरे गायत्री साधना को लेकर कुछ सवाल हैैं जिनका मैं उत्तर जानना चाहता हूं, अगर आप लोगों मेंं से कोई भी व्यक्ति जो मुझसे भी ज्यादा समय से गायत्री मंत्र का जाप कर रहा है तो कृपया करके मेरे इन सवालों का उत्तर दे, मैं उसका बोहोत आभारी रहूंगा ------- 1. पहला सवाल ये है कि गायत्री साधना की परम स्थिति किया है, मेरा मतलब है कि मुझे ये कैसे पता चलेगा कि मैंने गायत्री मंत्र मेंं अब कितनी उन्नति कर ली है, यानी मेरा गायत्री मंत्र जपने का जो प्रतिदिन का rate है वो ठीक है या उसमे और वृद्धि की आवश्यकता है, में प्रतिदिन ऑन अन एवरेज 2 से 3 मालाएं जपता हूं। 2. दूसरा सवाल ये है की मुझे भूर्व का सही pronounciation नहीं पता, ये भूर्व है या भू है या भूव है? 3. तीसरा सवाल ये है कि गायत्री मंत्र को सूर्य अस्त होने के बाद यानी रात्री में जपना चाहिए या नहीं। 4. मुझे कभी - कभी आने वाले समय में financial insecurity की चिन्ता होती है, मुझे लगता है कि रिटायरमेंट के बाद मैं कैसे अपने खर्चे पूरा करूंगा, क्या गायत्री साधना से मेरे जीवन की सभी समस्याएं दूर हो जाएंगी? अगर आप मेरा ये मेसेज पड़े और मुझे गायत्री साधना में मार्गदर्शन देने के लिए मेरे ऊपर दिए सवालों का उत्तर दें तो इसके लिए मैं आपका बोहोत आभारी रहूंगा। मेरी उमर 46 साल है |

GayatriMantra ॐ भूर्भुव: स्व: तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो न: प्रचोदयात् ॐ - नाम है ब्रह्म का, ब्रह्म ही परमात्मा है और परमात्मा ही आत्मा के रूप में हर जीव में हे इसलिए ॐ सब जीवों का सांझा नाम है। जब भी ॐ का उच्चारण करते हैं तब हम सब को संबोधित करते हैं। भू - भूमि। सूर्य मण्डल में हमारी भूमि जीवित है क्योंकि इस पर प्रकृति है और प्रकृति नाम मां पार्वती को दिया गया है। इसलिए भू शब्द मां पार्वती को संबोधित किया गया है। र्भुव: - आकाश । आकाश का कोई आकार नहीं है, इस का कोई कोना नहीं है, इस का न जन्म है न ही अन्त। भगवान शिव को भी इस तरह समझाया गया है। इसलिए र्भुवः शब्द शिव को संबोधित किया गया है। स्वः - स्वर्ग। स्वर्ग अर्थात आनंद ही आनंद। कोई कष्ट नहीं। यह वह स्थिति है जब मन पर नियंत्रण और शरीर स्वस्थ्य हो। इसलिए स्वः शब्द संयम को संबोधित करता है। *इस तरह हम "ॐ भूर्भुव: स्व: " जब भी उच्चारण करते हैं तब हम सब जीवों को संबोधित करते हैं , मां पार्वती को, भगवान शिव को और अन्त में अपने आप को पुकारते हैं।* " तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं " तत् - सर्व वही या वह सवितु: - उत्पादक, प्रकाशक, प्रेरक वरेण्य : वरने योग्य तत् - भगवान को संबोधित किया गया है। सवितु: -उत्पादक, प्रकाशक, प्रेरक प्रकृति शब्द का अर्थ है जीवन। संसार में जीवन को लड़ने की प्रेरणा देने, धरती पर उत्पादन और सूर्य के समान पवित्र ऊर्जा देने वाली को हम प्रकृति का कार्य मानते हैं। प्रकृति शब्द मां पार्वती को संबोधित किया गया है। मां पार्वती सबसे पवित्र, ऊर्जावान और सर्वश्रेष्ठ हैं। वरेण्य - हम हमेशा सबसे अच्छी वस्तु शरीर पर वरन् करना चाहते हैं । इसलिए इस प्रार्थना में हम अपने आप को वैसे ही चाहते हैं कि " हे मां ,मैं इतना पवित्र हूं कि जैसे शरीर पर सब से अच्छे फूलों की माला वरन् करने की इच्छा होती है वैसे मैं आपको अपनी बुद्धि में धारण कर सकूं। भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि भर्गो : शुद्ध पाप नाशक विज्ञान - यह वह विज्ञान है जिससे वातावरण और जीवन का संरक्षण होता है अर्थ है प्रकृति का संरक्षण। देवस्य : देव के - ऐसा विज्ञान केवल देवताओं के पास हो सकता है क्योंकि मानव और दानवों का विज्ञान संहार ही करता है। देवताओं में भी केवल भगवान शिव ही सभी को समान रूप से देखते हैं क्योंकि प्रकृति के लिए तीनों (देवता,मानव और दानव) जरूरी है। धीमहि : हम ध्यान करें - हम भगवान से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि हमें ऐसे विज्ञान को ध्यान में ला सकें। इसलिए इस प्रार्थना में हम भगवान शिव से शक्ति चाहते हैं कि हम पाप नाशक पवित्र ज्ञान ही सोच सकें। धियो यो न: प्रचोदयात् धियो : बुद्धियों को य: : जो न: : हमारी प्रचोदयात : शुभ कार्यों में प्रेरित करे हम प्रार्थना के अन्त में इन शक्तियों के पाने पर भगवान से प्रार्थना करते हैं कि हमारी बुद्धि शुभ कार्य ही करें ताकि धर्म और संस्कृति की रक्षा हो।

The speaker has given the overt meaning which may have several interpretations. A Sloka is powerful because it has two meanings. The overt and the occult meanings. The occult or hidden meaning is what gives power on chanting this mantra. It goes like this: "Let the divine light emerge from deep within me and illuminate each and every part of my being so as to make it translucent with its radiance" The speaker may like to comment on the above.
