It will be good if the priest of this temple takes care of this elephant ...like how he cleans the idols ...let him clean the elephant everyday by bathing it and etc etc...finally put namam or pattai and make the elephant look so beautiful and cute...

You are right, but I just wanted to update you.. This elephant is treated like a child and had been in this Temple for years. Special care has been given.

I'm Hindu too but I won't support keeping this beautiful animal in chain. She too deserves to live free with her family of her kind. Here she will be alone for next 3 decades.why to capture her in the name of culture and rituals.Look through her eyes, what she want.

No one is supporting animal torture.. But there is a special bonding between this elephant and the temple . Whoever had been staying there will know the real fact as how much extra care was given and treated with respect ..

It's not like they are slautering tat animal in name of religion, but they are protecting it. I would agree your comment if it was taken out for begging and in showz starving n tat animal doing anything for a Treat... It's is treated with love and care.... There is a difference.... In Hinduism we treat pray worship even nature as God and animals as their vaganams... Now tat we don't believe in practises of our forefathers, being selfish , arrogant with zero knowledge on culture traditional values , we have come to this stage of questioning everything and allow western to come find or research and bring our old practises... We appreciate it. Unfortunately tats wat our education and experience have been teaching us. No offense, I see a concern in your comment

she wasnt captured her herd left her.. she was rescued by the temple... they tried to "save" her before by sending her to kvk farm thanks to PETA... where her condition got worsed... thats why she was sent back.. they took care of her... and they fought for her....

@@idesirefame I don't support peta either. I lived in kerela for 18 years. Temple elephants are taken care nicely. All i want is to see them chain free.its very hard to live in chains.

U better search for other vidoes of lakshmi how happy she is. Don't come in the trap of PETA.
