The "SRI MANJUNATHA" movie was released in Sandalwood i,e. kannada film industry which was directed by telugu director. All the songs It contain is written by legend "Hamsalekha" from Kannada industry...they say that he wrote the whole song just in 15 mins.we are blessed to have these type of talented people in Karnataka..this movie was then translated to telugu afterwards. This was easy to translate the whole movie to telugu bcz kannada and telugu words sound the same ...this whole movie is based on story of "LORD MANJUNATHA" in DHARMASTHALA, KARNATAKA. .

No, telugu was not originated from sanskrit. Telugu has sanskrit words because we have borrowed them. Example, for milk we say paalu, in sanskrit it's ksheeram, and there are so many examples, telugu and sanskrit don't have any connections, the sanskrit words we listen and speak are borrowed.

This song was sung by Shankar Mahadevan without taking breathe anywhere in the song. Please hear the song clearly later and observe this. This song was sung by Manjunatha to clear of the blame that was put on him by some enemies, so he sings the song infront of the king where with his song he will lighten the lamps in the temple infront of everyone, which proves he is not guilty.

You are a very good observer. Yes , as you noticed correctly - the background beyond the Hero is in Blue Color, indicating it is dark / dim-lighted. And, the context is : there was a challenge posed by the King to the Hero - to lit all the lights by his Bhakthi Song. The result is evident towards the end of the Song ( to show the difference, the background was dark'/ dim-lighted in the beginning of the song) as we see all the lights are suddenly lit by themselves, as a result of the Bhakthi Song of the Hero.\ This movie is a very good one, I strongly encourage you to watch it.
