Kollur Mookambika Temple Timings
The Mookambika temple is open perennially each day for the devotees coming to offer their venerations to the Goddess. The temple is open for Darshan to the devotees from early morning to late night. The timings may vary during special occasions like Navaratri, Ashtami, Navami, and other auspicious occasions. The Kollur Mookambika temple Darshan timings are very conveniently arranged from dawn to dusk to facilitate the visitors and devotees' schedule. Kollur Mookambika Temple Pooja Timings- Morning Routine
The temple doors open in the early hours of dawn for Darshan to the devotees. Several ritualistic, daily poojas are performed in the temple by the priests and purohits each day. Not one day goes by when the Mookambika Darshan timings go sparse. There is a heavy rush of devotees flocking the temple each day with an intention to get a glimpse of Mookambika Devi, offer prayers, perform rituals and seek the goddess' blessings.
The doors of kollur Mookambika open at 5 AM and stay open solely for Darshan up to 7:15 AM. Meanwhile, the morning pooja commences at 6:30 AM. After the morning pooja, when the Darshan is halted at 7:15 AM, Danta Dhavan Mangala Aarati is performed. The Dhanta Dhavan Morning Aarthi is a daily ritual at the temple. At 7:30 AM, Panchamrutha Abhishekam is performed which is an Abhisheka ritual of all the deities believed to be residing at Kollur Mookambika temple and is carried out religiously each day. Meanwhile, the Darshan resumes at 7:45 AM and carries on till 11:30 AM. In between, a morning ritualistic Aarti, known as Mangala Aarti is performed at 8:00 AM. At 8:15 AM, the temple gets geared up for the Uday Bali Pooja which also is a daily ritual. The Darshan continues with the devotees ushering in. Around 11:30 AM in the morning, the gates are closed for Darshan as preparations for the afternoon Pooja get started. The temple womb-room gears up for the noon rituals from 11:30 AM. The priests and the Sevaks carry out all the preparations for the noon processions during this time before the rituals can actually get started. The temple is closed for Darshan during this time.
Kollur Temple Timings- Afternoon Routine
The noon religious processions start at Kollur Mookambika temple at around 12:30 PM with the Mahamangala Aarati. A noon Bali pooja is also conducted in the temple around 12:45 PM. Meanwhile, the Darshan for the devotees resumes at 12:00 noon and continues till 12:20 PM. After the Mahamangala Aarati and the Baali pooja at noon, the Darshan continues to be conducted from 12:45 PM. The incessant crowd of bhakts flocks the temple during these hours for Mookambika Devi's Darshan. The doors are closed around 1:30 PM again and the temple retires for some time.
The Mookambika Darshan timings have been adjusted so as to not affect the devotees' routine. This time slot is there to provide a slit in the hectic Darshan schedule. The temple doors open again at 3:00 PM. The Darshan continues further up until 6:00 PM. In these hours, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM are exclusively reserved for Mookambika Darshan timings only. Although different Sevas are performed all through the day in the name of devotees, no Sevas are carried out during this time. Devotees are allowed inside only for Darshan purposes from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The Darshan proceeds in a similar way till 6:00 PM. Sevas might be performed from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. After 6 o clock in the evening, the temple doors are no longer open for devotees who want to seek a Darshan.
The Evening Mookambika Temple Timings
The preparation for the evening aaratis and rituals start around 6:00 PM only. A very grand aarati is performed in the temple premises for goddess Mookambika and all the accompanying deities during the evening.
