Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Kashmir, and these gardens are a testament to that. Come explore Srinagar's beautiful ancient gardens during autumn and see why they're considered one of the best places to be in Kashmir during fall.
Kashmir, one of the only places in the country where you can enjoy Autumn, the golden season. While Kashmir remains popular during summer & winter, Autumn is a season not many people really know about. I've experienced the different seasons in Kashmir but Autumn was long pending on my list. And when I saw how beautifully this season was, I fell in love with fall. You can enjoy this season all across the Kashmir valley where the Chinar trees look like they are on fire. I visited three beautiful gardens to enjoy this vibrant season. Let me show you some of the most beautiful gardens in Kashmir, and explain why they're a must-see during the fall season.

It's well past midnight . But I had to see this beautiful presentation of the fabled Shalimar gardens, "the earthly Utopia created for humans to coexist in harmony with nature." Well said. It's a joy to listen to your beautifully modulated voice, and the well chosen words you use to describe the magic of this place. I can see the absolute delight you are experiencing, as you shake the bough of a Chinar tree, as it rains down leaves in rich autumnal colours. What a beautiful sight it was to see their flaming beauty against clear, blue skies , and also watch the many shades of orange and red leaves carpeting the lush emerald green lawns.. I have seen only half of it.. If I must do justice to this video , I must savour it, leisurely ,which will be tomorrow, after my house work is over, when no one will disturb me . (to be contd.) ❤️❤️❤️ In continuation: I couldn't wait for noon to pack up from the kitchen and indulge in this visual treat you have so beautifully presented I couldn't help smile back at you as you revelled in ecstasy in Chinar heaven, twirled round on Chinar leaf carpeted ground, flung fistfuls of these beautiful leaves heavenwards....I am dancing with you! The chinar leaves have been immortalised in many a carved wooden Kashmiri piece. Lucky is that doggy , rolling in pleasure on the ground and surrounded by all these flaming beauties planted centuries ago What a sight to behold! Lucky are the University residents to live in this paradise. Thank you with my❤️Merlin.

Thank you so much 🥰 Hopefully, will visit again soon. Gurez is pending since 2019. Whenever I visited roads were closed due to snow. Manasbal lake I've passed a few times & also visited on my last trip. You can dee the video in my Kashmir Playlist 😊

@nks...7261 thank you. Yes both places. In 2019 when I couldn't go to Gurez I decided to go to Bangus. Lost my way as I was driving around solo & had no maps. Then, I was delayed by the army at a check post. So Bungus too got left out. You can see my Kupwara video from that trip. I did return to Kupwara in autumn 21 but did just a day trip to Kalaroose.

Thanks so much. Yes, autumn is already starting to set in. I would suggest sometime around 1st week of Nov to get all the different shades instead of just orange & brown and dried.

I'm soo excited to say that I'm in Srinagar today ,my trip will be till 8th nov , but little disappointment mam I don't see orange ,red colours chinar leaves tree now mam , still chinar tree are little yellowish mostly green even in mugal gardens mam ,hope you suggest us something no mam 🙃😒☹️ Hopefully 🤞 I don't miss pure autumn in kashmir ❤️🫰🫰 Sincerely 🫰

Hi. I'm good thank you 😊 Glad to know you are in Kashmir. Don't lose hope, weather is unpredictable currently. My Insta follower came to Mumbai yday from Srinagar. She too mentioned that it had already started changing colors. Go to Naseem baug also called University of Kashmir. Max trees there. My thumbnail pic is from there. The colours change quicker in that garden. There's also this one huge tree near Dal Lake at the end, it looks stunning against the backdrop of Del Lake. Thanks so much for appreciating. Early Oct will be the start of autumn so you will get some amount of colourful leaves.The colder areas the leaves start coloring early Oct.

@@GallivantingSoul Hi, good day Madam. I'm really, really confused now. Because, i commented in one video here in YT same like your video with regard to Autumn in Kashmir. One commenter there said that only very, very few colourful leaves change from green to yellow/red/orange during October. She said that colourful autumn leaves will be in November. I'm a bit sad with her comment because my vacation plan in visiting Kashmir, especially in Srinagar will be in the 2nd to early 3rd week of October. Actually, I just moved my schedule from 1st of October to 2nd to early 3rd week so that I could be more happier in experiencing autumn. Which one is really true. Thanks. Good day Do not feel sad. Since temperatures vary in every region of Kashmir colouring of leaves varies too. Everything depends on weather conditions & this year its been erratic weather all over. As I said slight colouring begins in Oct. I landed there end of Oct & a lot of trees already had all the colours of green, yellow, orange & red. By mid Nov most of the leaves dry & turn orange/brown & fall. If you this video in full, at Nishad I've mentioned the date. It was 14th Nov. I personally loved it best in the 1st week of Nov where I got to see all the colours as compared to just orange and brown. So don't worry. You will get to see that. Take it from me. I spent 3 weeks there, so saw the full transition 🍃🍂🍁 Also, do check out my video of Gulmarg in the Kashmir playlist. That was shot on 5th Nov, seasons first snowfall. Beautiful autumn colours on the drive up.
