Srinagar to Leh Ladakh NH1 Road Trip Zojila Pass HD May 2018
The 434 KM long Srinagar - Leh Highway is almost like a lifeline in the form of road connectivity between Leh - Ladakh and rest of India via Kashmir Valley. Srinagar - Leh Highway also known as National Highway NH1 is the most reliable and one of the only two ways to reach Leh.
The highway runs alongside the Indus River and through some extremely harsh and barren terrain including the three high mountain passes named Zoji La (3528 Mtrs), Namki La (3815 Mtrs) and Fotu La (4108 Mtrs).
Srinagar - Leh highway offers some breathtaking landscapes ornamented by various historical and cultural constructions which are just like a dream treat for any traveler driving/riding through Srinagar Leh Highway.
Srinagar Highway generally remains closed for about 6 months in a year starting from November to May due to heavy snowfall on the mountain passes mainly Zoji La pass. Zoji La pass starts receiving snowfall in the month of November
Its a two days journey from srinagr to leh with a overnight saty in kargil
Next day one need to start early morning from kargil to leh in time as the route has lots of places to get down and click pictures.

Yes I have visited this marvellous route from Chandigarh - Shimla - Manali - Kullu - Sarchu - Leh - Nubra Valley - Pan gong Lake - Tsumoriri Lake - Kargil - Srinagar - Pahelgaon - Jammu which is a great memory for me. Once again I must visit that Heaven & highly proud that wonderful place is in our Country. The best place in the World which is always attracting me like a magnet. Thanks for your nice video.

@@jesuswasjewish5289 some times all you need is adventure. Good clean roads are there in city's also why to go so far. These are mountain pass where there is always landslides and what not, we dont need better infrastructure here in mountains by disturbing nature

I have been there in May 2019, we started our trip on May 10th 2019 from chennai by car, we had a wonderful experience my husband, myself and my kids only we 4 had a great experience. We can't express our feelings by words and we returned back on 19th mid night

Yes. Thanks for posting this. Mesmerizing. I lived in Ladakh for 2 years 4 months in 1964-66. Travelled on this road on duty in army few times. Stayed in Sonemargh, Dras, Leh and beyond. Great memories.

I’ve just been to Kashmir. The journey from Srinagar to Sonamarg was breathtaking! And going up Zojila pass to get to Zero Point was very scary, yet rewarding ❤️ So much natural beauty here

Tellement de souvenirs me reviennent en regardant cette vidéo...mon premier voyage en Inde, nous sommes partis de new Delhi jusqu'à Leh et ses monastères en passant par Amritsar,Manali Daramshala, le col de rothang ,keylong ,sarchu,la barrachala, et la taglang la,et enfin Leh et tous les environs jusqu'à Lamayuru, c'était en 1998...et puis il y a eu d'autres voyages en Inde. Mais je reviendrai en Inde pour découvrir la vallée du Spiti et kinnaur .merci pour votre partage ,je vous envoi ce message de France ou nous sommes confinés comme vous en Inde, toutes mes amitiés et courage.🌏💐🙏👍.

I travelled 33 years ago twice from Srinagar to Leh. It took 2 days to cover the entire distance. We stayed for the night in Kargil and remember that I discovered bedbugs on te wall, anyhow we slept because next day we had to get up early to join the army trucks in colonne because it was one way traffic, when te army started we had to follow in buses, the sceenery was breathtaking and our fear as well

Thank you! I travelled this route exactly 30 years ago, so it brings back very nice memories. Nothing seems to have changed much, although the road looks better at the end. I remember staying a few nights en route in Lamayuru and reaching Leh at the back of an orange truck. Precious memories. Drive safe.

Very nice vlog. I had been to srinagar, jammu and kashmir in the year 2012 may 20th along with baltal, sonmarg, gulmarg, pahalgam aru Valley and katra. This awesome video just made me to revive the memories.

Lovely We didn't do complete J&K Just did Dal Lake & Gulmarg Then 3rd day headed towards Leh On the Way did Baltal, Sonmarg, Namkila Point, Zojila, Zero Point, Kargil Memorial We both have traveled almost on same day and month Only you're 6 year ahead of me 😋 It must me more beautiful back in 2012 Thanks for the comment maam.

@@TusharKothare..... Sir it's actually serene and the scenic beauty of mother nature is at its highest level. According to me I think if we blink or just close our eyes for a sec also we can just miss a view. It attracts me a lot and I have covered the north India except Uttarakhand.Had been to Shimla twice. Katra also twice.Had also visited Darjeeling twice, Manali, Darmshala, Kulu. But till now as per mine experience Kashmir is the best.

Even if the video without the sound was not a choice (except music soundtrack), this movie is great. I had the opportunity to travel on this road in a truck in 1978. It was already very dangerous. Especially at this time, the Indian and Pakistani military were about to restart the war in these mountains and then all Indian army vehicles were priority. If a civilian vehicle was on their way military had to push it...down the ravine

Thanks for making and uploading such a great video :) It felt as if we are travelling with you too !! Everything starting from the background music to the sceneries captured, was just marvellous !! Itoo am travelling to Leh in another couple of weeks and i am pretty excited :) The drive at Zoji La looked dangerous though !

Zojilla Pass is usually fully covered by snow from December till April. Cleared only by end of April.

He have arranged everything for us, superb guy tell him Tushar from Mumbai gave your number Ask for discount 😂😂 And you need minimum 10day for such trip, boz once you reach leh atleast 24/48 hours you need to acclimatize May route opens at zozila So if you want to see snow till June end you can plan less crowded and less expensive August September is season time so it gets crowded and expensive also

Roads from Srinagar to Leh is very risky and adventurous too but on going there tirée persons can have a sigh of relief and one can it really and totally lost in sceneries all around.

Great video and music Tushar, planning a 15 day road trip in June from Shimla via Kinnaur - lahul spiti - leh - Kashmir and back to leh - Manali and finally back to Shimla. Hope we can cover it all. So pumped up for this trip..

Thanks so much for the appreciation buddy. I guess 15days would be too less for all this, you will not be able to explore much, just a suggestion you can skip SPITI Valley from this and do it some other day separately that would be a peaceful and relaxing trip.

Thank you for your suggestion mate, the problem is I don't live in India so 15 days is all I got, and if we start from Kinnaur valley I am pretty sure we'd be crossing spiti. We would mostly be on the road, long stay only in big townships. And coming back from Kashmir we'll be flat out just taking the night stays and hopefully save some days for manali. It's just a rough plan atm.

@@gauravnakta ooh like that i never heard of that place so dint know, that its on the way of spiti. Never been to spiti so less of knowledge Let say you spend XYZ days in Spiti. Then To explore leh and all near by places like Kardungla Nubra Turtuk Pangong lake TSO Moriri And leh sightseeing Will take your 5+ days Then from leh to Srinagar is 2days one side Then Kashmir will need 3+ days to explore Then back to leh 2 more days Then from leh Manali 2more days And so on

Its very difficult as more than 50% of the road passes through landslide area And if somehow government makes the proper road out there tourist will increase pollution will increase and it will start loosing its beauty
