From Sri Ramanasramam to Skandasramam, Walking in Meditation - Home of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi

Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi lived in Skandasramam during the period of 1916 - 1922 when he moved to the present ashram location after Mother Alagammal's samadhi in 1922. The ashram came up due to the effort of one man Kandasamy out of devotion to Bhagavan. Bhagavan himself recognizes the effort as almost impossible. Mother Alagammal came to live with him permanently in 1916.
The walk up Skandasramam is roughly 30-45 min and the video attempts to capture the experience. The pathway is made of rocks and the video is shaky at places.

I was ' born ' in the UK in 1955 , so after Bhagavan ' passed ' . I am an example of how connection to a Jnana is beyond time and geography ( space ) . I just loved this walking meditation . I hope that Bhagavan calls me to that walk one day 🙏🕉️

There are many times that my friends and I had planned this exact walk and girivalam, and every time, it had to be cancelled. Hope Bhagvan does give us that experience soon!

Baghvan connected with me in 1993 when one of my colleagues handed me a booklet Who I am. I got driven by it. It was his wish and will because of which I got that booklet. Till such time I was unaware and unhead of Bgaghvan because I come from north India. I came to Bangalore in 1988.

Fortunately, I was able to walk to Skanda Ashram daily in 2007 for about 5 months. What a blessing! The Inner Path or Skanda was my favorite daily routine. Thank you for this video. The physical path has improved and Skanda Ashram has more plants. I wonder if that swami is still there that took care of the Ashram. If anyone knows than please contact me.

In the description box it is said that the Ashram building came up due to the efforts of Sri Kandasami. However I could not find his name in Sri Ramana Periya Puranam. Please confirm the name of the devotee.
