Greeting,
Overview of both SRM and JXB Performance driveshaft carrier bracket. Unfortunately after one too many launches the stock support bracket and bushing have gone bad in my Audi C7 S6. Replacing it is quite easy and can be done in about an hour. Both are awesome well put together products and definitely helped my issue with the constant clicking noise coming from the driveshaft (new one is on the way). However one came out on top for me and that has to be the JXB performance. The bushing has a much more stock feel compared to the SRM which gave me quite a bit of NVH as well as a noticeable thump from what felt like under the center console. Hope this review was helpful. Jay is a great guy, very knowledgeable and had great products. I just got his caster increasing spherical lower control arms. Sick upgrade for anyone that does time at the track

I'm so glad I found this video. I'm currently hearing/feeling rumbling when I go WOT in my RS7. I'm pretty sure it is the DRVShaft Carrier but I will for sure have my driveshaft looked at too!

Did you get similar vibrations at 70 mph with the JBX and did you ever discover the source of the vibration eg. unbalanced driveshaft?

I think it's real telling that SRM redesigned it's carrier. Let us know how the JXB works out for you!

Follow up video yet? I bought the JXB with street bushings for my S8 Plus, have yet to install it with lack of free time. No issues, just wanted something beefier than stock.

It sounds like you need a new drive shaft. Especially after destroying the first carrier. Then getting vibration with the SRM. The JBX is definitely better designed but you shouldn't of had issues with the SRM. Unless your driveshaft is out of balance wich is what it sounds like. Or the bearings are shot. Probably both. I've done pulls with the oem and I'm pushing 700 hp. Not recommended but If your driveshaft is still in balance you shouldn't have a vibration. From the looks of the wear on the SRM your driveshaft needs to be replaced.

Had replaced the driveshaft as well and was getting the vibration still. I could live with the vibration honestly but there was a noticeable thump right under the center console when getting off and on the throttle. Swapped over to the JXB and all that went away.

@@thayios did not have vibration with the JXB however I ended up removing it and getting a whole new driveshaft because my cv joint at the trans was shot and creating a clicking noise

@@thayios my new driveshaft came with a new “stock” like rubber bushing and was told by the driveshaft company if I remove it and install the JCB they won’t warranty the driveshaft if something else goes wrong. Install was pretty easy I think there’s a couple videos out there that show the install process

@@657Racing Whoops didn’t realize what account I was under and had to change some settings. Can you edit out the username in prior posts please? Apologies. I’m sorry they pulled the loop and swoop on the warranty. I was worried about that myself so I appreciate the heads up. Did you go custom or OEM on the driveshaft?
