Lol, that was such an insane trade. The Donte for the corpse of Ibaka is the worst recent Bucks trade, but that Crowder trade is such asset mismanagement.

It is crazy how well the Kyrie trade aged for the Mavericks. We thought that it was a great risk but he perfectly integrated into the culture of the team, and now they are a few wins away from going to the NBA finals! This trade may have saved the Luka Era in Dallas.

As a wolves fan I hated that gobert trade but I must admit I was completely wrong about it. However, i'm still not too happy about the trade I wish we didnt give up picks all the way up to 2029 other than that it was a good trade

The picks aren’t great and prevents it from being a A grade but he’s made the trade grade improve and I’d say it’s about a B or B+. Which is better than a F!

I've been saying this for years. Daryl Morey does not get enough backlash for the John Wall and Russell Westbrook trade. I think he knew that he was going to leave the team So in knowing that he just said hey I'll make this terrible trade that kind of hurts the future of this team just to get Russ what he wants

Harden for Simmons trade was extremely hard to gauge, I’ll give you that, I’d have to give Philly somewhere in the B range, Harden had a few good playoff performances despite eventually taking them nowhere they had gone before and once again requesting a trade. But Brooklyn has to get a D-F

I think B+ is super rich for Phoenix on the KD trade. Sure you got a superstar but they clearly werent in a position to win now with their roster and they invested their future as you mentioned to get it done. Feels closer to when Brooklyn traded away their future for Pierce and Garnett; even though thats a bit dramatic its the same idea and its looking like theyll get pennies on the dollar for KD if they get anything at all

Suns had more playoff success in the 2 seasons before him than with him even tho he’s been good. And it’s been championship or bust and it’s been bust (even if they win next season it’s just gonna feel overdue and not impressive) so yea I’d say it’s a D grade as the depth they had may be more crucial to them than Kd is.

@@spidamitchell8311 agree with almost all of this, except the part for phx winning th ship next year. It would be extremely impressive with their 5 man rotation, but its not gonna happen. For all their starpower their roster still doesnt work and wont hold up against the likes of Denver, Minnesota, Dallas etc. And theyve backed themselves in a corner with blowing their load on stars, because they dont have anything left to fill the holes in their roster with

They literally went to the finals lol with that roster and won 64 games in a regular season they were clearly a win now trade. What destroyed Phoenix was trading for Beal and his terrible contract. If they traded for Kd and decided to use that cap space on depth defense and a point guard they could have won the chip imo.

I'd agree more with the jazz Rudy one if they weren't floating around drafting a WK replacement (he was really bad this year after a great rookie season) or packaging George with other assets for Murray. As a Jazz fan, it seems like since moving on from Rudy Don and Mike the plan is Sustained Mediocrity. Case and point: they got you hyping a first round pick from the Don Trade (from this year to Toronto). It's pick 29

Idk how Houston gets an A+ for the Harden trade when they’ve been bad since the trade, this being the first year they’ve been close to a winning record. I get it was a rebuild move so I could understand a B or B+ for potential’s sake but there’s no way that trade should be getting the same grade as OKC trading PG or the Lakers getting AD

Bro skipped the wiggins dlo trade. Resulted in getting the warriors wiggins who was pivotal in the 2022 warriors run, and the warriors getting Jonathan Kuminga. Wolves got a worse version of dlo and bad roleplayers, which they ended up flipping dlo and jared Vanderbilt for mike conley. This needs to be graded, im shocked bro missed this.

Bad trade but Kawhi was a disaster in San Antonio in his last year. Had just had some bad injuries and had a year left on his contract considering the disaster that was a solid salvage job.

Imagine all those people who last year were calling the Gobert trade the 'worst of all time'. Kessler is the only + piece and her regressed in year 2, Vando only good role player. Rest have been cut or moved multiple times. Picks hurt a bit, but they are going to all be late picks, and the chances that any of those swaps convey is VERY slim because it would require Utah being better then Minnesota. Definitely a reach on the 'worst of all time' takes last year.. not to mention, keeping Gobert after his deal expires for most likely a fraction of the cost will be a win, as defense ages slower then offense and he will have many solid years ahead. I look forward to seeing what TC can continue to do adding talent to this team with later firsts and seconds. Leonard Miller was a great grab as well.

Im not sure the paul george trade can be an F if him and kawhi leave without a title. It made the clippers relevant in the nba championship discussion for 4-5 years, which for a franchise like the LA clippers is better than being irrelevant in a large market like LA

Gobert has been so mid and overrated his entire career Never the actual best defensive player in the league and it gets proven every playoffs where he get literally picked on by everyone. Gobert provides nothing on 9/10ths of the court
