@@OgaugeTrainsplusslotCars Um... Learn to read? OP clearly said 'place in the water', not 'throw in the water'. I have a pricey RC boat, that I built myself ($4500.00). With that said, I would NEVER take my hobby as far as these people. I do it to have fun with my family/friends, not to act as though it is made of diamonds.

I used to have a Coast Guard fire/rescue boat with a working water cannon mounted on the fore deck. The small lake I took it to had Swans swimming around. I made a couple of casual passes at them with my cannon spraying. They avoided me easily. There were little kids there, too, so I didn't want to traumatize them or set a bad example, so, I didn't press it, lol

Plus, what you said is a gross oversimplification of attaining ownership of a boat and the maintenance of a boat. Besides, these guys like doing this and they probably CAN't afford a half million dollar+ boat. And maybe they can, but don't want to spend the ridiculous amounts it costs for yearly maintenance.

Im sure my hobbies seem boring to some…. But i think i would have to do some serious reflecting in my life choices if i spent my free time building cranes to lower my RC boat in a pool!! They have way way more patience than me. Id get pissed and throw the boat across the room, hobby over!
