Great figure, nicely painted. The rifle looks great, the wood effect is excellent using the inks. Maybe you could have used the same effect for the wooden handle of his entrenching tool. The camouflage is excellent - not easy either! The skin tones need more colour to stop him looking like a mannequin- more of a flushed look from exertion or even sun tan. He’s also remarkably clean for a soldier in the field! Well done Sir, great job.

Wow. I never thought to paint wood with a thin ink but it is very realistic. However, it looks like nothing more than a thick wash? Could I use a wash for similar results?

Hi... it isn't a wash, so it is so different in consistency... before I find it I used an acrylic wash, that is similar in consistency... but the quality of this wash is totally different.. the effect is always perfect, and with the minimum effort 👍

Besides, the Templar was not a usual face painting case, because of the helmet only part of it was visible...
