Hello folks, I mention that the book was written around the time when Lusitania was on the seas, and the Olympic was being envisioned. This is wrong, the book was written before any of this, in 1898. However I was mentioning the re-releases of the book. Major apologies for this!

Oh cool Tom's finally reuploading his videos! Morgan Robertson was the author: great guy. Just some details about the Titan; for starters the design of the ship in game is actually by some guy on Shipbucket whose link I unfortunately cannot find. It's the most popular design from what I've seen, however early copies of the book does in fact have an illustration on the cover showing the ship going down, and it looks nothing like it does in here to say the least. We also get some hints from the book itself; for instance the ship did have a bowsprit which the creator of this design got right, and she also had sails, which you can use in the game. Apparently they give you 3 knots extra speed, and I did the math: if you max out the Titan at 29 knots, add on the sails and you can get her up to 32 knots. This doesn't come as a surprise to me, as in the book - and one of the things that separated it from the Titanic - the Titan was a Blue Riband holder. She managed to cross from England to America in 5 days, and was trying to do the same on her return voyage: her third voyage. That's when she sunk, unlike the Titanic which was obviously on her maiden voyage. One last thing is the reason the ship sinks so fast in the game is due to the fact that, in the book, her sinking was far more catastrophic than the Titanic. She crashed up into the iceberg due to not seeing it in heavy fog, going so far up that her propellers almost came fully out of the water, taking a ship ton (literally) of damage, falling back down into the ocean, rolling onto her side, and plummeting to the bottom. All of this in the book took 5 minutes, and out of the 3,000 people aboard, only 13 (including the main character and the little girl who jumped on the iceberg) survived. So enough lifeboats or not - because the ship didn't carry enough in the book either - with a sinking like that, it wouldn't have mattered. This is especially eerie to me, because as bad as the Titanic disaster was, Futility gives me the idea that it could've been a whole lot worse. Cool seeing you check her out! :D

Hi Jesse just so u know in ship options at the very bottom there is a button that says toggle ship ropes which is rigging for ships it will make your ship more realistic

She did sink so fast due to (acording to the book) this is what i think senice that it goes verry fast and are comfusing) crashing up on the ice cliff, ripping upp the entire bottom, crashing down at its side, sliding back in the water and sinking by the bow. In fact the book qoutes "from the ventiles air ruched out and out of the funnel steam flowed creating a raring sound (not fully acurate)" from hiting the ice cliff to the ship had gone under itt tock secunds to a few minutes.

Great checking the rms black titan. I also have the pass. The black titan really sank by being torpedoed as a hospital ship. I’ve honestly thought the funnels of the ss titan would have the same funnel paint scheme as all the other white Star liners.

I heard of the ss titan from futility or wreck of the titan.

If you get the RMS Titanic and you press E it will turn into the black titan
