The detective is probably my favorite job in the game, I like to roleplay as one, and new mechanics are great to amplify the roleplay.

I will always vouch for a working camera for the detective. Imagine rolling up to a crime scene and taking a photo on an old Polaroid like camera. It would be sick as hell

@@banklobor551 i know SS14 it's made on unity, but they can try to make like a copy of the detective camera of SS13 servers like TGstation, unless the code it's totally different from there

You can also hit the analyzer with the fingerprint sample, and it will play a sound if a match is found, or not found. Usefull for quick identification.

I play HoS like every other night and have had some amazing detectives. One even organized each case into its own folder and wrote up full analysis reports, which was super handy when we had a bunch of simultaneous cases at the same time and things were getting chaotic (whew). A good detective can really help identify leads for AoS and then have the evidence to support a perma. If you're new to det, please don't be shy about asking to get the fingerprint records machine somewhere you can access at shift start, as it seems really vital to the role. On some maps, it's only in bridge, but a good HoS will help you get it out of there and into sec.

Worth to mention, that detective can ask Warden to give tazer, if you don't want to waste bullets or kill people

You can also just take one, sec is open to you for a reason.

Super cool mechanics that sadly wont barley get used. DT just feels like a seccie with a drippy coat and hat as NRP moments just seem far far too common as of right now like hate too be such a debbie downer but I truly feel these mechanics and techniques get overlooked in favour for shoot first ask questions never methods

So, because we get DNA samples it's a reason why Lithenhead make this video, am I right? Someone one already making interface for security records console, but we still mising recorder, evidence package and camera
