Thanks for sharing your very interesting and initially challenging experience. I can’t imagine staying on the train for 3 days in the winter and the guy didn’t answer his phone. We have to do better. Most people here only associate with people who have everything together. If you come here and need the help, they pretend to want to help you; until you find out the hard way. It’s very sad. I’ve gotten more help from people who didn’t know me than those who knew me. Be very careful out there.

Wow that Cameroon guy was angel sent to you Bambi saved u from that winter challenge, that opportunity to get free lawyers to handle paper work at a free cost that was a golden opportunity. In 9months paper work (PR) and in 2years you worked n brought your whole children. Driving school for 2 months, and get licence. @10000usd. Truck driver paid daily 300usd ,wow (about 1.5m ugx)

Those homes are called Shelters, that's where newcomers to any country stay even in Ottawa we have them and they are run by sisters.They give you clothes food lawyers connected, counseling , they connect you to schools if u have kids.

It is through practicing then making mistakes that she will learn. Remember she is in a country were English is the main language.

Learning a language as an Adult is not easy. Instead of rebuking her. Encourage her ' that she will get better and better' And besides the interviewer did not tell her that she only has to use Luganda. It is only you viewers that have a problem with it.
