The Slow Flyers are simply Breathtaking...best therapy to watch them float.. Who would have said just 20 years ago we'd have micro RC and equipment to fit.. Thank you so much... tyoukogatalabo, your videos are Zen inspiration... TJ, Beirut lebanon.

Does anybody know what kind of small electronics the first plane uses? I dnt think it can be done somehow with Arduino? Too big, I think.

they are micro linear servos. You can find them also on the AR6400, just dont get the cheap ones such as hobbyking because they strip easily, get stuff like spectrum, super expensive but worth it

I didn't se a single fixed wing model in this video that used an airfoil shape wing. Apparently they all depended solely on angle of attack for lift, including the very nice 1 meter model at the end. I'm wondering why when an airfoil shape would help lift.

both way works, truth is. Angle of attack and airfoil. But the main use of an airfoil comes in when bigger planes like the boeing 707 are involved. Thats because when theyre using airfoils, they no longer needed to make larger wings to compensate for all the weight. by combining both the airfoil and the AOA, efficiency and smoother flight allows larger planes to operate. These small planes in the vid fly too light and slow for Bernelle's principle to kick in effectively. i make planes with no airfoil, lol, and they work great. but when i work with gliders, they dont have engines, which means i have to make em more effective by using an airfoil.

todo el planeador es facil de hacer solo se necesita una bolsa y palitos de bambu o solo palitos que ese encuentran en las papelerias unirlos con la forma que se puede ver muy bien en el video pero ¿como es el mecanismo de la helice y el mecanismo del timón? gracias
