About the United States Marine Corps:
The Marine Corps defends the people of the United States at home and abroad. Within every Marine is the willingness to engage and determination to defeat any adversary, and it is this fighting spirit that allows us to fight and win our Nation’s battles.
The mission of the United States Marine Corps is made up of three promises: We make Marines, we win our Nation’s battles, and we develop quality citizens prepared to fight and win battles.
You don’t join the Marines-you become one, forged in the crucible of training aboard our recruit depots on Parris Island, South Carolina, and in San Diego, California, or through the dedication required of officer candidates at Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. Beyond the physical requirements, aspiring Marines must prove they have the honor, courage, and commitment to face and defeat any obstacle.
Today, more than 180,000 enlisted Marines and 23,000 Marine Officers serve in active duty or reserve forces on bases and in communities around the world, proudly carrying with them the core values of the Marine Corps.

My biggest regret at this point in my life is getting out of the Marines. I would be retired in like 6 months. I think about this every day. USMC 2003-2007

@@johnnyb7628 I was engaged to a woman I am now divorcing lol. My unit was going back to Iraq. It would have been my 3rd deployment. I wanted to just extend my contract a year so I could go. My fiance and I talked about it. I wanted my freedom thiugh. So like you I was tired of the fuck fuck games etc. I thought once I went into civilian life it would be amazing. For me, civilian life is actually a lot harder in many ways than being in the Marines. At least in the Corps you didn't have to worry about mortgages, car payments, keeping a job. The only thing I had to worry about was being 15 minutes prior, don't get fat and that's about it. I actually tried to go back around 2013 when I graduated college. I was too old they said I was only 28 at the time. I should have tried the Army in 2013. I'm pretty sure they would have taken me. I fucked up getting out.

@FreedomUSA1982 I feel you brother. I do, Iv thought about the army too. I know some guys that have gone into the army but they say it's not the same as the corps. I fucked up too getting out. I'd be a staff Sgt by now on my way to Gunny if I stayed in. And yup, civilian life sucks. All I do is work and pay bills.

Go become a GAFE instead. Or a tier one GAFE. They'll see way more action than an infantry marine. They'll have you sweeping rainwater as a Marine. Go anything special operations.
