Yeah. Vegeta had to face a life of hardships because he couldn't understand this simple concept. It's easy to lose count of just how many reality checks he had to get every time his cruelty and unsympathetic nature got out of control. But that's how life is. We often have to relearn the same lesson over and over again before it finally clicks. It's part of why Vegeta's arc is so compelling.

@@theemperorneo4870Yeah because Nuova was not only an interesting Shadow Dragon, he was also the 4 Star Dragon Ball that Goku had which reminded him of Grandpa Gohan. So if we put that into perspective, Nuova Shenron was not only the best Shadow Dragon. But also protected Goku as it was showing him that Grandpa Gohan will still protect him whether he's alive or dead, the 4 Star Dragon Ball will be like him watching over his adopted grandson

@@theemperorneo4870 No nouva is forged from the ill wish of king piccolo for immortality so he has positive energy ( in case you don't know dragons possess inverse of the wishes.....if wish was good dragon would be negative and if wish was ill intended then dragon would be of positive energy) While Syn is forged from the pure selfless wish made when goku was on Namek to save everyone destroyed because of frieza and restoring their planet.... that's the reason

Vegeta has always respected Goku. Goku is Vegeta sole reason to get more power and in turn learned to patient and caring. Hell in the Hirudegarn movie Vegeta put up shield and protected Civilians. Cell/Freeza saga Vegeta wouldn't do that. He went from a Dark Knight to a Holy Paladin.

@@beverlypotter3236 It does, someone like Vegeta breaking "the bystander effect" is really important here. Goku is also capable of holding his ground well. In the real world, you can achieve this with a healthy sense of self-worth that doesn't overextend into arrogance but dwindle into insecure self-esteem issues. Call out insecure bullies where they stand, and make sure to let others know that people will stick up for them and the right thing.

@@beverlypotter3236 If you put yourself out there and be the difference in the world by fighting and standing up for someone that needs help, those kinds of actions tend to have a ripple effects towards others. They teach about the "diffusion of responsibility" in Intro to College Psychology for the reason that you have to mentally break those walls and put yourself out there to help others in those situations. There's no promise that you will "get anything out of it" in terms of self-gain, but the difference that can make for someone else is of life changing proportions.

I think GT is the worst out of the 4 versions of Dragon ball, but even with it being the worst I still think it’s overall good (just because something is the worst in a group doesn’t make it bad). Moments like this is what makes me love it.
