actually, those are bay leaves. just like lemon tree leaves, people put them in food for seasoning. but i wouldn't recommend eating one, people say they could cut open your throat!

For the breakfast burrito I think the employee left it for a bit and they probably had an ant infestation and the ants got in there. Also once I went to my friends house we went in the garage AND HE HAD AN ANT INFESTATION COMING FROM THE TRASH THERE WERE AT LEAST 100!
