yaaay, my first ssx 3 freestyle TAS. im starting with this game like how i started with tricky by making several different TASes of the same track, hopefully with considerable improvement between each one!

XDD YEAH KELE the you are at Style mile too, my favourite Track as far! well you show , like Eddy pointed, impresive moves on this run! but i know that you have some FANTASTIC and mindblowing TAS so... i have a present for you, let's produce the SUPREME Style mile human TAS ( something near or even more than 12M) but i will need point some spots to give the hints for YA! currently I have an 11.390M SM run, which has MANY spots with possible improvements, difficult but possible, and I will tell you now if you have interest in this SUPER TAS produces.. for this, take my 11,240M as a basis... sothings that i will said you can see on the dagg 11.6M TAS but i will reforce here.. at 0:41 with an similar angle you can land an SA-X in this x2 at 1:05 you can do SA-SA-X ( idid in my 11.390M run) at 1:14 i not sure, but with this efect that you get on this run ( the efect that you hit the back of the rider in the rail and get some extra air, with is too risky in a real run, but maybe be possible do an X-X on this x5 with this efect) at 1:20 X-X at 1:50 X-X at 2:04 you can do an X-X into the x2, then, when you land, go for the right and use the "right wall" to do an extra SA, is possible and i did in some runs, but only with an SA-X in the x2 though at 2:13 is possible do an SA-X into the x2 and an SA-SA-X at x5 after that ( like dagg TAS) and at the loop section, you can do 3 jump with triple X like you did but, when you is going for the last jump in the x5, instead you go through the whole loop (upside down), you take the rail , turn the rider for the LEFT angle, and jump out of the loop by the left side, at 3:40 like ( 0:13 at game clock) is possible get an SA-X-X on this way , if you get the right spot, i already did this some times , or maybe be possible even an triple X in the x5 followed by an SA down the line near the finish line ( cause you will land behind that x3 out the log near the finish line) XD i hope that you get interested on it and see this like other mind blowing TAS that you produced man

Not bad man. I guess you could do a lot better if you just played more :) I was close to 9 million but surely can´t do a X-X in the beginning for instance

Hey man, I’m obviously a huge SSX Tricky fan, but a couple years ago I bought SSX 3 and recently started playing it again. I’m a total noob though 😂 do you have any basic tips? I’m also intrigued by the combo feature, not sure how it works exactly. Thanks!

Get your combo meter to 30x! You get the greatest multiplier to your combo score at 30 or higher. Maintain it with manuals. Use both the manual input and repeatedly jump into a 180 to begin a combo, but make sure the manual has just enough time to register before jumping again. Works even better on rails. Learn Monster Tricks! You unlock their descriptions (you can do them even without the descriptions) as you unlock Career Highlights (check the lodge for your progress on that, in "Rider Details") or just look them up online. Stoneage, X-ecutioner, and Alpine Star are the best ones and the ones I'd recommend learning first. Simpler ones like Yellowcard or Aphrodite might help you learn how to better control your spins. These are not required for accolades like Platinum Medals, but they certainly make it easier. Use the Smurphy Trick! After the first time you do any Monster Trick in a run, make sure you tap the d-pad left or right. This will nullify the "repeat trick detection" feature and allow you to spam monsters forever (this works in Tricky too, but the nature of the trick system in that game makes it rather useless). This also means you can do multiple Monster Tricks in one jump for massive points, as long as you start every Monster after the first one with a d-pad input, NOT a grab input!! The grab comes after the flips for the next Monster. Tap for flips! Instead of holding the d-pad, rhythmically tap the direction(s) you are flipping. The time spent not pressing the d-pad will trigger the game's "flip auto-complete," which is faster rotation than holding the d-pad can provide. As you learn the rhythm, you can gradually reduce how many times you actually tap, meaning you spend more time flipping faster, meaning more points.

Or does this game have more options to pick in showoff? I’ve used Mac in conquer the mountain just because I’m familiar with him from tricky.

@Poe Javelski Many more options, literally every character is viable. The only thing worth noting is that the Mahogany and Can Opener tricks are character-locked and are the fastest one-foot tricks in the game. Most characters have one or the other, or both, but you can still use the ones that have Reach Around (yes, that's the name) and Extended Play. Two-foot ubers are character-specific, not character-locked. Customize them in the lodge - I believe it's in Rider Details -> Ubertrick Setup. For the recommended competitive set, pick Madonna for Nosegrab (Stoneage), Slinger for Tailgrab (Finger 11), SSXorcist for Mute (X-Executioner), Karolicker for Indy (Alpine Star), and anything you want for Method and Stalefish or just leave them alone.

@@kelecat7094 Thanks for the advice! Which game do you like more? For me Tricky will always be my favourite since I’ve been playing for 15 years and it’s the first game I’ve ever played, but I’m really enjoying SSX 3 so far and its more expansive story mode and collectibles.

@@poejavelski148 Tricky for the characters and attitude, 3 for the perfected SSX formula! Both games were truly formative for me, but I'll never forget the hours laughing at Eddie's voice lines while riding, as well as how cool it felt to get all the gold medals.

There's technically a meter for balancing thats shown by the animation your rider is doing. You will eventually fall over from holding one for too long, but yeah, no meter. I've always found those distracting and overwhelming when everything else is happening visually, so I'm glad this game doesn't have one.

Jordan McGarty i think 3 looked better and controlled better tricky was too stiff for me😔

this prob don feel, FEEL that good as tricky coz the music was off. also coz tricky had more stuff happening at the same time on the screen, more colors etc. ss3 is more balanced to gameplay than visuals, which is a positive.
