Every so on, I dress up as a tree to see if the outside is foliage and the fruit appears on the inside. The physical fruit hangs on the outer branches - but the inner fruit has no shape or material form. As a grocer this has immense meaning to me. I left Judaism and gave up my hobby of tree mimicry. Today, I contemplate real trees and duck the bullets of spiritual warfare.

God is good. My friends, it is possible for God. I am in great trouble. Always remember me in prayer before God.

Papa Ephraim recognised middle figure as Christ acompanied by 2 angels... Isn't that exactly the same as happened in Gen 18? ... We mistakenly depict the 3 angels with atributes of Trinity (Rublev, colours and objects behind angels)... ? It is clear from the scripture that it is the LORD and 2 angels...

Although I understand the concept of how such things can be obtained through harsh treatment, I do not think it is the superior method. The fact that most people leave, to me, attests to that. St John Bosco said that Fathers, including Spiritual Fathers, need to be strict - but that they also need to love their children in a way that the children know they are loved. Not everyone will obtain perfection with this method, but more people benefit over all. The gospel itself tells Fathers to not be to harsh or else their sons will lose heart.

Oh, the temptation to go into a giant forest, build yourself a hut and dedicate your live to Christ …
