St Helena is so special to the people that live here, both locals and those who have travelled the distance to now call St Helena their home.
Why? Well, we’re one of the remotest islands on Earth - a place of uninterrupted nature. Of safety. A subtropical paradise in the midst of the South Atlantic Ocean.
Our population is just over 4,000. Before we got an airport in 2017, the only way to get here was a five-day ship voyage from South Africa. St Helena is truly unlike anywhere else on Earth.
But that’s enough from us - we’d rather let the community share its own story.
