I live in the Midlands so it's difficult enough to go to games especially these days, I sat in a queue for 20 minutes last time and I got booted off the website and by the time I'd gone back on it had gone from thousands of seats available to absolutely non In the space of about 3 minutes, I have no doubt we could fill an 80+k seater every week

Exciting yes, but unless you get to 75-80k. I think better saving the £100 -£200 Million & move to new stadium before we lose chance to stay in City. Arena perfect spot after they move. Then you could build a 80k plus stadium & still be close enough to City centre

We will expand the Gallowgate end and corners, that is almost a given. I think the owners will have already had initial conversations with the council and relevent parties to see what they could do IF they owned the land again, I also think the councils will have said yes as long as you do XYZ as part of the process. XYZ may mean moving strawberry place back 50m or so, it will mean building a new metro station/entrance, and it will probably mean improving access roads around the stadium to a point. I think the east stand can be redeveloped, but it will need fully pulling down and rebuilt using modern techniques, a bigger stand but in a smaller footprint so to speak, limited height i'm sure due to the listed building status, but with some smart building methods could get around restrictions without annoying the residents of leazes terrace houses

Bigger stadium is also good news for us fans, because it means more seats and more tickets

Going to be impressivly large, i came up from London to support my local team Brentford and was impressed with how massive that stadium is already, one thing i would like to see is for away fans possibly to be pitch side what with it being much bigger that would be good

I agree with the East Stand redevelopment. Whatever height they attain could be improved by a mirror glass exterior. This would reflect natural light together with a mirror image of the listed buildings being seen from the terrace.

So for me the fanzone and the potential shops etc on that space is mainly for the restrictions that's going to happen when we build the new gallowgate as it hosts 2 key things. The clubshop and shearers bar. Would love to see the roof of the east stand replaced as the development of the stadium 🏟. Could also make the gallowgate the full standing stand as well. Just imaging it.

They need to go all-in with this....buy up Leazes terrace as well, incorporate it into the base of the east stand, build over the top of it with a steel bridge section & end up being the only club in world footbtall with a 150+ year old stone grade 1 listed building looking out onto the pitch on match day......would make Fulham & their silly little cottage look like a joke!!!

Imagine an extra 15k of us in that gallowgate end man, the atmosphere will be unrivalled in the prem

I like the idea early on you showed of a glass wall reaching up above the east stand to match the gallowgate and leazes with some ads on or whatever, that looked good. I'd like to see the gallowgate come out and go over the road with a tunnel going under, and a complex that takes in the metro station. Now that would look sweet.

Close Strawberry Place and create an extension to St James Boulevade that runs up to the Strawberry pub. Then the club can do what it wants, and the new road actually is easier to get around in terms of ambulances.

Sorry but I think that a brand new stadium should be built. I recognise that many think that this is good news on Strawberry Place. Build on the adjacent moorland which was supposed to happen in 1998. Although yes it is an iconic venue. The City Centre location is the BIG ingredient why the atmosphere is so phenomenal. Another thing is the listed buildings, I am not impressed that people want to demolish them. I hope that some crafty engineers can create an elegant but ingenious solution to magically create elbow room to transform the available space to build much bigger stadium.

Question , if they extend it would that mean my current seat been relocated as I’m in a lush just over half way up seat in the middle of the goal

I think they will take the opportunity to redevelop the whole stadium not just throw up an extension the rest of the ground is lagging behind new stadiums in the corporate section as well its all a bit dated and ltd i think they will do something spectacular including new seats all round and better screens

Sunderland dont have your problems for expansion your foes ,were able to build stadium few minutes from city centre ,they starteed to fill up stadium towards end of season ,but they lost some capacty down to security so they had 45,000 against luton ,maybe they might follow yous one day .

In other news, according to Telegraph new Saudi owners are favourites to takeover for Manchester United. If that does happen you can forget about Newcastle United winning a PL in the future. Although, the CL nights be would be mint for the toons, not so for the PL.

Newcastle will have a new stadium by 2030. Anyone with a brain cell knows it fits in with the Saudia 2030 vision. They can’t put a single seat in the east stand.
