St Neots, now and then, hopefully the title explains it all. Come with me as I walk around St Neots looking at what it looks like now, and with some old pictures of the same scene way back in time. Some locations have changed and some have stood the test of time. Hope you like it and thanks for watching. Andy

Church Walk. That photo from the 70's was what I used to remember. Many a Saturday my mother and I would walk that street from Eynesbury on our way to head toward the Co-op.

Nice video, the Cross Keys was not a pub but an hotel, they had a horse drawn taxi to and from the railway station. As for The Pavilion cinema that was burned down in 1928 and reopened in 1932 ( wooden roof covered in felt) The old electricity board showroom (BC&H) was built in 1928.

The 'then' photo was actually of what is now The Bridge House -- not the Cross Keys Hotel.

Andrew the Cross Keys was the best hotel in St Neots many years ago and ran a taxi service ( horse drawn) to ythe railway station.

Hi Andy. Ive been watching several of your videos recently and they are taking me back to boyhood days! I was raised in St Neots when the population was around 5000 people. I guess its changed a bit since then and perhaps you can guess when I lived there? I went to St. Neots primary school which was near the Common, and later to Huntingdon Grammar school. Any old photos of the middle of the High Street (25-31), used to be Plums Cafe, Reeds Newsagents etc. My parents owned Plums 1952-78, grew up there but left in 65
