Generally, Canadian or USD is accepted, but it's officially the Euro, so that's what I used. Either as cash or when paying with my credit card.

I am not sure. I would think it would be the same as going to France. It would of course depend on where your are coming from, and many other factors. The time is the year would certainly matter, as during the winter or non-tourist season, I can't imagine they're would be many jobs available at all.

It's actually part of France, so while many tourist shops will accept Canadian dollars, the local currency is the Euro. The bank machines will distribute Euro for you from your bank account back home, just be sure to choose the "let my own bank do the conversion" otherwise you pay a worse rate of exchange through the machine. Think of it more like provincial France. Everyone said it was really similar to smaller French towns. I haven't been to France myself, so just basing it on that.✌️
