I was blessed to be able to spend 10 days there. It was wonderful.

Outstanding video, so-so resort. We stayed there last September (2022) and found the resort to be in need of some significant maintenance and a facelift. We stayed in a Deluxe Overwater bungalow (Otemanu view). The bungalow was great, though I did not see any of the other guests trying to swim off the swim dock on any of the bungalows on our side. I tried it and found swimming there a little uncomfortable compared to the beach and the excursions in the lagoon. Both of the pools on property were in real need of update, tile repair, cleaning, and were much too cool to be comfortable. One of the two bicycles provided with our bungalow had problems and when we took it back to the bike repair station, the replacement was only marginally better. This is a large property and the bikes are pretty essential to your stay. We met our "butler" at the dock on arrival, and she gave us a nice tour of the property following our check in process. From that point on, we would occasionally catch glimpses of her on the property, but had no further contact. She spoke English reasonably well, explained she was a student from France and was nearing the end of her "contract" agreement with the St Regis and would soon return to France. The shuttle launch to Vaitape dropped you off on a dock near the solid waste facility on the island (dump) where a bus then transported you to the town. By the time you got to Vaitape, you only had a couple of hours to do your thing before the bus returned to take you back to the launch dock. We did visit Chin Lee market where we were able to purchase the most incredible baguettes and some ham and cheese to make a great lunch. The bakers at Chin Lee bake these fresh about every two hours and everyone exiting the market has at least a couple of them in their shopping bag. The price is about 60 cents (US) each and they were a big highlight of our Bora Bora visit. Vaitape itself was pretty limited and reminded me of a reservation town in our home state of Arizona. Lots of tourist stuff, but limited otherwise. The food at St Regis was ok, though it is very pricey, limited in selection, and the resort had a significant insect problem in the food presentation area. We ate a breakfast each morning at the cafe (included in our bungalow package), but the small flies coating everything but the breads made it very hard to eat there. I sent a picture of this problem to the site manager with a complaint and got a word salad response, but no corrective action. We also tried to eat at the Far Niente (Italian), but again found the flies a problem. We ordered glasses of wine to enjoy while our order was prepared, and between sips we had to spoon multiple flies out of our drinks. After this experience, we cancelled our Lagoon reservations. Luckily, the room service food was very good, especially the steak bowl. On the plus side, the little personal plastic shopping bag with the St Regis logo filled with ice that Hinano beer is delivered to your beach cabana was a great touch. The view of Otemanu from our bungalow was dramatic. Our bungalow itself was both spacious and comfortable. We did spot both Eagle rays and Stingrays from our deck. I also took some great pictures of the Southern Cross constellation also from our deck. Overall, I would suggest if you want a 5 Star experience at Bora Bora, look at the Four Seasons over the St Regis. We're going back to French Polynesia this fall, but we are not including Bora Bora on our itinerary. Last year, we did the Windstar sailing yacht cruise to each of the islands, followed by the week at the St Regis described above. This year, we'll spend our 2 1/2 weeks at three of the other islands (Huahine, Taha'a, and Moorea) that we visited on the cruise and found more inviting than Bora Bora, together with a couple days in Papeete. We're in our 60's and suggest Bora Bora is probably a lot more enjoyable for 20-something honeymooners.

It is a great hotel. The negatives were the termites in the room. We had to change our room twice. The guests are dominated by honeymooners. The dining options are slightly limited. Besides that, it is about as good as it gets. The rooms are gigantic. The weather is always perfect and the water has to be seen to be believed.

I stayed about a month ago. Absolutely amazing! Planning on going back in about a year. I would do five days St Regis, five days at Four seasons next time. Great resorts!

O.M.G. If someone ask me where the heaven is on Earth,I will say " Go to Bora Bora". But St Regis has done an upgrade for heaven. With a quiet place,marvelous food and a lot of smiles from the people who keep this place up is a must for every bucket list.👍

It's seriously the most AMAZING place I've ever stayed! The location is out of this world, it's on its own private island in the heart of Bora Bora's lagoon and the views are just STUNNING! The accommodation is beyond luxurious, I stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was HUGE with its own private terrace and plunge pool. I felt like royalty living in my own private paradise. Was able to get this place for cheap at budgetarrival.

I wished to visit this beautiful place one day with my children before I’m old…thank you for sharing 🥰

A few years ago we stayed at Le Meridien, next door, and had lunch at St Regis. The service then blew us away, so we plan, hope & dream of staying at St Regis. We did stay at St Regis in Langkawi ( Malaysia), and this is one of the best resorts we have stayed at. Legendary service…..

Stayed 5 nights here and 5 nights at the Hilton on Mo'orea last February for our honeymoon. This beats the Hilton hands down. Two completely different aspects Island wise. Bora Bora is way more for relaxing and chilling and Mo'orea is more adventure geared. The spa was fantastic, the retaurants did no dissapoint. We were in the second to last bungalow on the right at 1:23. we are going back for our 5 year.

Tip - Take people directly from the airport to their room. Pre checked in - before they get on the plane. You take the luggage to the room and the guest and all the paperwork is pre-done. That’s Vegas Service. Once I leave Canada I don’t touch it again until it’s in my room.

Sailed my 41-foot cutter ketch there a few years ago & found the snorkeling to be exceptional! Mantas, turtles, sharks, barracuda, morays, and coral gardens with thousands of multi-colored small fish! Try to be there for Haeva (celebration of all things Tahitian).

FRENCH BORA BORA EVEN BETTER THAN IN THE MALDIVES WHERE I LIVED 4 YEARS. SO BEAUTIFUL PLACE

Stayed there in November of 2012...looks almost exactly the same as when I was there. I wonder what room number you stayed in because it sure looked like you might have been in the same room! It was astonishing to my wife and me how quiet it was and even moreso how little wildlife there was in and around the resort...apart from the fish, of course and a few errant and rather large cockroaches in the room that scared the bejeezus out of me. Otherwise, what an idyllic setting. One thing I recommend highly is going into the town of Viatape and eating at La Villa Mahana...in my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in the world and from what I have read, it remains so.

Been to Bora bora seven times most Beautiful place honestly, though haven’t been there in 16 years boy, it changed Not the same place 16 years ago The main island is looking rundown, but honestly, the hotel Conrad is the place to go now since the main hotel on the main island shut down

The video captures the resort well. The only two missed highlights are the Polynesian night and the lagoon with vibraint marine lives.

After having done Seychelles 🇸🇨 and Maldives 🇲🇻 using Emirates Business Class, BORA BORA 🇵🇫 is my next destination and the last major trip I need to do. Prices shot up from $5000 to $10,000 since Black Friday 2021. I will wait for prices to cool.

My ultimate dream location

Amogst the scenic views on the Island mounatins. You could plant tons of fruit, and nut trees. SOme for the resorts, some for the Island naitives and both sides share in the product. That also adds flare to any vistitor walking through to enjoy the Island landscape.. you cant go wrong with more trees. The climate their should host tropical food production.

I have been to this resort and it is absolutely fabulous! It doesn’t look dated or rundown or in need of repair. It is beautiful. Looks more beautiful in person. Every villa has complementary bicycles which makes it so easy and fun to get around the island. Service is fantastic. I’m wondering how you feel it compares to The Four Seasons and Brando.
