don't know much about st. vincent, know a lot about albini. that being said, this cover does more than justice to the original, it's refreshing to hear it being treated so well. pay no mind to the albini purists ripping on it, some of them are probably 17 years old and found out about him two months ago anyway.

I may be the only one who likes the synthesized vocals, but they should have either been more subtle or she should have turned them off/on at certain points in the song.

It's a shame her own material doesn't hold up. This is so massive, they totally rock this track the fuck out. Her guitar playing is great. Bands need to pay attention and get back on this wagon.

St. Vincent can totally shred. See her live. Her songs are sort of like beautiful birds being murdered--or murdering. They're acid and sweet at the same time.
