I can't believe I have only just found this video!! I am so impressed. Not only by the conversion ideas and quality of the kit bashing but by the excellent production and how clearly you demonstrate the process. One of the best tutorial videos I've seen. Keep up the good work.

Oh my god this is all so great. These terrain kits are such a great idea, the Rohan ones look so good, especially with your modding I really hope there's a themed terrain kit with every expansion from here on out

How your channel doesn’t have more subs il never know. Your love for middle earth is plain to see and very infectious. Great vid once again my friend. After getting the pelennor boxset for Xmas it looks like the winter will be spent building and painting Lotrs for me. Also have the evil of Isengard army box from years ago. Good times.

What an awesome and inspiring video. Lot of great ideas here, although a bit scary (saws, cutters and green stuff), I'm really bad with those tools. I might have a go at the longhouse though. And maybe a go at the big one they show You on Warhammer TV (needing 4 kits).

I see we're getting better at flipping the intro ;) All joke apart, thank you for this awesome video ! I received today my 5 Rohan House kits and will use a lot of your advices to get me the most variety out there ! Also I do have a question not really related with the video but kinda linked still : I also received the Osgiliath ruins which come in 3 kits, all the same. Is it possible to mix them in order to have modulations as with the Rohan House kits ? And if so, do you know how ? Have a great yearend dear hobbyist !

Hey Lachlan! Sorry if I’ve missed it. You picture the great hall in the intro of the film, but don’t give instruction on how to build it. Further to that, I’ve build the main building, but would be very interested to know how you built the porch/entryway. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

Gw had the templates to make the Rohan and Easterling buildings in the White Dwarf or the magazine+sprue release. Do you know what white dwarf or magazine they were in??

There is definitely a bunch in Battle Games in Middle Earth, one of the early Rohan issues, the episode with the Rohan Warriors!

your cross beam could have been made using the sprue frame.... instead of a wood piece

Much easier to texture to timber than plastic :) very tricky to get plastic looking natural.

Hi I would like to know how you get many box of this kit? because since I saw this on the site web game workshop like 1 or 2 months ago I try to buy it but it’s say « not longer available online » sold out online. I try to see if I’m store they have buy in France they stop to sell Lotro on store just online. And I try to ask by email if the can make more. It’s was sold out on pre order it’s very disappointed. I really hope they make again. Because buy separate it’s so expensive.

They sold out of the 'stronghold' kit. That kit was just a money saver however. It contained 6 houses and 2 palisades kits. They are all available to buy separate from Gamesworkshop. It will just cost you more in the long run unfortunately. But the houses are still worth it so get them regardless as they are great and Middle earth needs all our support!

Yes I know that I said it. It’s so expensive if we buy separate. The kit was so wonderful lol. So I prefer to wait because I send email to them and they said “we transfer to the good staff for this request”. Actually I can’t buy it so I prefer to wait maybe they will do again I hope ahah. Before that I have a lot of work like painting figurines etc...

This so obsolete due to 3D printing. I guarantee I can make this at 1/10 the cost.

I've yet to find STLs that match this product for quality of finish and modularity, but you sure are paying a premium for these, there's no doubt.

@@Zorpazorp Plenty of designs out there that are modular. Check out Printable Scenery as an example. In my case I just design what I might be missing, because it isn't all that difficult to design houses. Again no need to do that, however, with all the designs available with a small fee.

@@arthurmelander6224 Well for starters these are screen perfect, they're beyond modular, and They're not really THAT much more expensive compared to 3D prints of the same quality. Right? How much would this cost to print in resin to detail sharp crisp detail with no layer lines?

@@arthurmelander6224 Y FDM is great for mass produced terrain, I love using it for my big tournament supply, but if I can't get my camera within half an inch and have it hold up it's not detailed enough for my dioramas
