Finding melodic possibilities inside the changes felt nearly impossible. I've probably played over this track 200 times and it's been a huge help making it feel familiar and helping me discover the nooks and crannies. According to Benny Golson, he showed Stablemates to 'Trane, who showed it to Miles, who was the first to record it. The next time Miles saw Benny he said "Benny, what were you smoking when you wrote that?"

Bravo Phil, calidad máxima. Si me permites una sugerencia, no hay en "youtube" ningún "playalong" o cosa parecida de "Firm Roots" de Cedar Walton que valga la pena. Generalmente se suelen olvidar el puente en la parte de los solos, que es donde está la dificultad a la hora de improvisar. Seguro que si lo hicieras sería buenísimo como en este caso.
