The Staccato P DPO is what I would consider the flagship Staccato 2011. As Staccato increases their presence in the law enforcement community, the P DPO continues to rise in popularity as a duty pistol. It is a 2011 chambered in 9mm and can be run with iron sights or a red dot sight.
What is the 1911 Syndicate? We do a few things. We started out as a real estate company primarily targeted at serving the military/LE/shooting/hunting communities. Consider it our "day job" and we can serve you pretty much anywhere in the USA. Next we're a content producer. We kind of fell into it semi by accident, and here we are today. I’ve owned just about every plastic handgun, I stick with Glocks but I just bought my first 1911 and I appreciate all of the info I’ve gotten from this channel. I think I will be adding a Staccato P DPO soon. I also thinks its great to have people like you in the real estate business.

Love my C2 DPO... it's my current EDC! No issues whatsoever... I carried a full-sized .45 1911 and 1911 Commander for years, then switched to double stack 9's (CZ P01 mostly) and Appendix carry. Then combined those 2 favorites basically w/the C2. Congrats on the new P DPO and great review and discussions!!

I currently carry a Springfield Armory TRP Operator 1911 .45 and am thinking about a C2. I like the double stack and going to a 9mm for let recoil and cheaper range ammo

@@GreatSongs the TRP is a great option.. and I'm sure you'll love the C2 if you pick one up. A couple of my good friends (most of them are Glock/Sig striker fired guys) love my C2 DPO when they shoot it. If you give any of the quality "2011" style guns a chance I think you'll love them.

The C2 is amazing. I carry it everyday. Its my best shooter at the range and I shoot it in limited optics on the weekend. Truly a do it all gun. Just wish it had a steel frame option like the P does.

This was a perfect review, I recently picked up this exact model and I love it! After putting about 500 rounds through it, it easily out performs my glock. Looking to get a STI 2011 chambered in 45 next!

ok broskis, here goes.....im bought the staccato p duo and threw on the holosun 507k. i went to the range and qualified with it. this gun is fastttttttttttttttttttttttttt.....im coming from glocks in the first 15 of my career to a TRP for the last 5......i cant express how fast this gun is....i know you guys shoot bad azz guns all the time, however this is my first really go fast gun.....i qualified with this smoke wagon today.....i had to slow my azz down.....super easy to shoot. man people if you buy this take the time to go to the range if your going to carry this as a duty gun....

Shot mine at a couple classes recently. Struggled with all the $$$ I had into the gun- Extreme Shooters grip, plates, red dot, magazines, etc. But after the classes I'll never part with this gun. Picking up a C2 DPO tomorrow. 😂😂😂

Nice! I am about a month into my wait for one of these. I bought the P duo with RMR and threaded barrel so I can suppress it. I have shot a handful of these and they are glorious. In 100 years I think they will still be awesome. 😉

I just ordered a C2, and like you, have gone from a dot back to irons. I'm contemplating running the C2 with an RMR. The main reason I switched back to irons is because I just didn't feel as confident with the dot. I guess we'll see. Still an awesome pistol from a cool bunch of guys!

I do agree that it is an entry point for a weapon of this “caliber”. I’ve done some incessant research on 2011’s and this is on the cheaper side of this market for what your getting as far as performance.

I simultaneously have an intense and irrational love for 1911s while also wanting to be super practical and meta about everything. The Glock of the 2011 world, like Chris said is like ideal for me. Although I am debating between a Staccato P Duo or a Wilson Combat CQB in 9mm for a gift to myself when I finish military training.

I agree with the critique the only thing that’s kept me away from from staccato is the grip module with that safety and the magazine lock back. If it’s not updated for 2022 I’ll just send my edc x9 in to get cut for a rmr. Great review!

@@swiftaudi grand thumb did a review and identified this flaw also john1911 did it as well but long story short the 2011 magazine platform use a 45 cal magazine while using a 9mm cartridge. I’m no expert but checkout those KZfaqrs. Definitely get the gun if you want it. I just went another route with the edc x9 since it’s based on the standard 9mm cartridges and magazines by metgar the which can be used by the walther ppq so no issues with the x9 platform.

I really like my Staccato c2 and I can shoot it well, but for my EDC I still go with my G19 that I built. It's lighter and it always go bang with little up keep. The Staccato needs to be cleaned and oiled and you'll know when you start to get stove pipes. It's a tack driver (Holosun 507c) for sure and makes shooting easy. And that is another reason I like my Glock because you can't slack on fundamentals (Grip, trigger control) because it will show. The Staccato is so forgiving and will make you lazy imo. But Staccato has great Customer service and makes a great Pistol.

15:30 had me dying! im a pretty big fan of the staccato p defiantly agree on the grip I swapped mine to the extream shooter dragon scale and had it slimmed down feels much better well worth the money would highly recommend especially if you don't have grizzly hands like Mr Chris.

@@Chrisblau Just a heads up though some fabricating maybe required emphasis on the "maybe" i didn't end up needing to but it was a very tight fit dont look forward to the day I have to take it off and on again but it shouldn't hinder our sway you from getting one it changes the whole feel of the gun. The only thing I ran into an issue with was how aggressive the trigger under cuts were, after a day of training started tearing up my middle finger simple solution sand the edges a little and if you waer gloves non issue.

Chris what pin size did you replace your original mag well pin with? I just removed my mag well and my pin is long enough that I have extra hanging off each side because the mag well is not there to cover it. I can feel the pin sticking into my hand.

Seeing this review just makes me smile. I want a staccato for obvious reasons but my number 1 reason is because the name of my hometown is engraved on the bottom of the pic rail. I was born in Georgetown, Texas just like that gun in y'alls hands and I take immense pride in that.

Q: I too have only carried and used Glocks for exactly 10 years. How difficult is the transition to a 2011? As far as safety, not being able to hit slide lock on reloads and such? I want to get a Staccato but very hesitant because obviously price and also I might suck for a long time.

It was an easy transition from Glock to staccato c2dpo for me. Just took practice and training! But kept my Glock because I didn’t want to carry my Staccato. But just sold my last Glock and getting another staccato, going for the P Dpo this time. I would say just go for it and don’t look back haha. Now I am a proud owner C2 duo XC and soon to be a P dpo

If you shoot a Glock well, you will shoot a 2011 much better. There is no comparison.

With COMPLETE respect after hearing you guys say "together again" immediately I saw Fozzie and Kermit together singing..Damn my brain!! The Staccato P would still be in my collection if 2011s weren't so fukin expensive. Hate the grip safety - "pinned" is the right thing to do. If you don't want to have the big deek light on the front of it (preference) I can say with confidence that Hammer Armament or Longs Shadow out of CO make the best OWB holster for the Staccato P Duo. Not like you asked :) Post that C2 vid on Patreon would ya?! OR do I foresee a major 2011 shootout with some awesome competitors?!?? ✌

just put some chapstick on the glass before a range session and after every range session wipe it off with tissue paper and a q tip. the chapstick will catch all the nasties on your glass. Works every time thank me later!

@@yipeeiaye look at Joe's video regarding the fit and finish of one of the Atlas guns that was shipped to him due to the gun not functioning right. A $5-7k gun regardless if it's the sample of one should not leave a shop with those poor parts being fitted.

@@awokeone7997 Don't know which Joe you are referring to - Chambers I assume. Have not seen it - will look for it. Agree that there should always be extreme QC on a pistol with that price tag. Altas is not perceived or known for poor quality and I have yet to meet a "I used to own a Altas but..." person. Fairly sure Phoenix, Chambers or any other company has had a new gun sent back to them. If we went off one person's experience for any one firearm, there would be no guns to be had for anyone. Chambers is a solid pistol for sure and I completely respect their craft. My Atlas 5k+ rounds in has not once let me down or did it come to me not functioning. Just giving my opinion based on my experience - all good

I would think having a fiber optic front sight while using a red dot would be less advantageous than with a plain front sight, especially under bright sun and with a red light pipe. It would be like running two red dots simultaneously.

No, you could get an Atlas. I don't believe they have a Grip Safety. They make a great gun but it's about $6.4k compared to the Staccato's $2.4k

@@randomactsofriding4850 in USPSA its a 'Limited' division gun. If you place and Optic on it, you're now using an "Open' gun. I believe you can shoot it in IDPA as Carry Optics.

@@SEALAX in USPSA a staccato p without optic can be shot in limited, limited 10, and production. In USPSA competition a Staccato P would qualify to shoot in carry optics with the removable flared magwell removed.

@@JohnSmith-bf1sq Agree but, I don't want to shoot Limited or any other Division with iron sights. My eyesight is poor so an optic is more than helpful. I have an XL (not an XC or P) and don't want to remove the magwell from the XL and, I wouldn't if I had the P instead of the XL. If it places me in Open, so be it but I think the USPSA rule that places folks like me (magwell and/or an optic) in Open division vs the others should be reviewed by USPSA. Thats not likely either so, I'll shoot in Open.

Will this thing fire just normal factory ammo ,hollow points etc or does it need crazy ammo like infinity stones or something? Not trying to be a smart ass just curious since ammo can be hard to find and hope it just eats anything you throw at it.

Pinned the shit out of mine. Had it goon taped for a bit. Said screw it popped a hole in the main spring housing, sacrificed a small Allen wrench as my “pin” and boom. No slop or play in the grip safety in ‘pinned’ position. No need to worry about a poopy purchase on draw and just need to fiddlefuck the thumb safety

I love my P for duty but I use my C2 for duty to. both work great.. PS neither one have any loose tolerances to them ..if yours does you might send it back
