On a nostalgia trip. I saw Stacey and her band in Copenhagen, September 2012. It was nice.

Fun fact: this is the English version translated into French. You can tell by the number of verses following the bridge. Stacey, this is simply one of the best recorded versions out there-your English version has been on my “Aguas de Marco” playlist for years. Essentially, a flawless interpretation. Also, please let the saxophonist (or whoever made the choice) know that I LOVE his harmony up a third at the end of his solo, which inspired me to begin playing it that way.

When we have a great lyric, the song is perfect in any language. Bravo à tous! Bravo Tom Jobim ❤

C'est admirable comment "Águas de Março" ne perds pas aucun sens poétique et musical quand traduit du Portugais au Français - au contraire, on dirait même! Une sensibilité poétique pareille. It's amazing that this song doesn't lose any of its poetical and musical character when translated from Portuguese to French. It's a similar poetical sensibility, more difficult to translate to English.
