This is adorable! I don't know how to sew very well at all. Can you tell me the difference between a regular 'foot' that a machine comes with and a 'walking foot'. Is it important to have one for this and a baby quilt?

Hi Crafty Magnolia, a regular foot is just that, for regular sewing. When you are quilting a quilt you sew through the quilt top, batting, and backing fabric, so three layers, a walking foot helps keep all three layers together as you sew. It does this by feeding them through from the bottom and the top at the same time. It is definitely desirable to use a walking foot when quilting your quilt. It can also be helpful when making items that have several layers, like a bowl cozy. I hope that helps.
