I have had a lot of requests for raw unedited video. No music or fancy clips, just flying from start to finish with the all the sounds of the engines and cockpit. Here is a ride along showing the 2000' stack overhead the USS Lincoln, commencement, shit hot break, arrested landing, and taxi to shutdown. Start to finish no interruptions for the true die hards. Lots of B roll footage. Do you want more lengthy raw video or quick short clips with music? Let me know in the comments below.

The absolute cool calm scanning of in and out on the downwind leg , the close up and descent and the increase in workload as the pair move into the landing phase. Young men at the top of their game. Wonderful to watch.

Alex... From a old retired Air Force guy to you... BRAVO! I flew 26 years...heavies mostly. KC-135A's, KC-10A's for 10 Years and the C-17A for 16 years. Did T-37s & T-38s too... Loved them all. Perfect video w/o any extra noise, clips, text. Your leading, controlled flying, hand signals, unedited video spoke immense volumes to your skill, competency, ability. Loved to watch your endless cross checks, eyes on your wingman, eyes on everything, planning and thinking ahead for the jet by miles... I was blessed to spend 4 days on the USS Nimitz back in 1993 in the Persian Gulf as an AF Exchange pilot (with the S-3 guys). Got to see 24/7 carrier ops. Lived the life, noise, lack of privacy you all enjoy for months at a time. Got a trap on and a cat shot off in the COD. Best I could do. Ha. Great to see the precision, taxi too, when inches matter. We all are blessed to have dedicated, professionals...even if young....on our side. :) Shiny side UP, rubbery side DOWN. Fly safe & God bless you Alex. V/R, Randy "C-17A"

Before it went into production at the El Segundo plant over 4 decades ago. Haven't seen anyone from that crew in years, but am sure they too would all have never guessed that the F18 would still be flying decades later. Would like to thank Alex for making this video.

That was really cool. The skills and spacial awareness are interesting to watch in the aviator’s eyes. Like a raptor, always scanning, the rate of eye focus and head orientation changes from near to far, up, down side to side in micro seconds. I had a keen sense on where we (pov) were in relation to the boat because I could follow his focus. The carrier is home. He does this All while constantly monitoring his instruments, the communication/traffic control in his ears, the ambient noises and signaling his wingman. It’s quite the dance in a sophisticated machine. I for NEVER taking the pilot out of the plane. Drones certainly serve their purpose, but the human factor is what makes us human. Great video. Thank you.

I assure you, he does. In basic jet training, I was hanging around the ready room when our skipper walked in and asked if anyone wanted to ride with him, so I jumped up. He was scheduled as the chase plane instructor for a flight of four students on a formation practice flight. During the flight, he evaluated them as they repeatedly broke up and rendezvoused. He hadn't spoken much to me as we tooled along when he came up on the intercom and said, "You know, I've never been quite able to believe they're actually paying me to do this". A couple years later, I was sitting in the cockpit of an F-4, spotted facing forward on the fantail of USS MIdway off the coast of Vietnam. I was about to launch with forty or so other aircraft on an Alpha strike over the North. Engines were starting, tiedown chains were coming off and the deck heeled over as the ship turned into the wind. With all that purpose and might spread before me, the thought came to me, "I don't know whatever else I may do in life, but I doubt there will ever be anything like this". Now, almost fifty years later, that thought has turned out to be true.

@@-108- Pardon incoming rant. Simply state the facts; "Palpable" is good. "This is what concentration looks like." Or, "his concentration in this moment is awesome and unwavering". It's only my opinion that the need to insert the flavor of the day word into a sentenance is a waste of time, dilutes the meaning of words and, ups the ignorance level of those throwing them around. An example of this is the phrase "gas-lighting". This term was invented to replace the term "liar". It comes from a 30's era, British movie involving a guy who keeps adjusting the gas-lights in his house to make his wife think she's crazy. Therefore, "gas-lighting" is a fictional term created from a fictional movie with no relevance to anything. The fictional guy was a liar and his fictional wife was a gullible, idiot. And now, we now have a phrase that's aimed at replacing "liar".

And I am sitting in an executive swivel chair with my tea and feel none of the G-forces or strain that the real guys are feeling. And if I splatter all over the deck...I just reload it and try again. Real pilots don't have that luxury. It's more of just the procedures of pulling off the break. I am by NO means equating the sim to real planes, I would never. In 1961 when I was a lass of 9 yrs old, I visited my two Navy uncles in Pensacola, FL. They took me to the USS Antietam and I was in awe of the carrier, with the jets stowed below deck, big signs warning of "jet blast", the arresting cables, and the fact that there was a runway on a ship! I have been in love with military jets since that time and even though I'm now 70 y/o, I'd still LOVE to have the experience of being catapulted off a carrier in a super cool jet, just like when I was 9 and got to be on the deck of the Antietam. In my youth, I was lucky enough to live quite close to the runway to Richards-Gebaur AFB. I would run outside to watch the C-130s do their approach to land. And when there was an airshow, there was nothing better than listening to the roar of the F-4 Phantoms which where used by both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. Now, the Stealth B-2 flies over my house quite often and in my heart I'm still that excited 9 year old! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!

More unedited vids where possible, SO much more interesting without any musical overlays. Raw footage is much appreciated, thankyou sir!

Outstanding. Well done. The only thing better would be a POV of your control inputs. People don't realize how much of a dance, flying really is. Lots of inputs and movement to simply maintain your intended flight path. You are cute af, squeeky clean bad ass and salty. Your intensity is what women notice. Like Keanu's John Wick character.

Marshall in the ramp of an international airport, here! Man, those turns were tight as h*** Congratulations to both of you, Pilot and Marshall. The worst part is kowing you turn your F-18, with your feet and not with a tiller in your hand and the help of hydraulics...😀

Ah, very satisfying. Abe Lincoln. My old Ship. Notice how big it is; three times as long as it takes to recover the aircraft. Great flying. That smile says it all. SALUTE!!!
