In this week’s episode, we explore the biggest, and most expensive home we’ve ever toured to date on our channel.
Spanning 11,012 sqft, this $60.6m super triplex penthouse is set atop the 53rd story of Marina Bay Residences, featuring five bedrooms, a 25-meter private lap pool, and an entire open roof deck.
In fact, this unit is just one of three penthouses in all of Singapore with an unblocked panorama of the bay area. It also boasts views over the CBD skyline on one side, as well as the meandering Singapore River down below.
Upon entering, you'll be welcomed by a grand private lift lobby, adorned with two lifts on either end - serving as your transition into the main living spaces.
The living area boasts soaring nine-meter ceilings, accompanied by full-length glass panels that offer panoramic views over the Singapore cityline.
This voluminous living space certainly establishes an immediate sense of grandeur, and is perfect for hosting large social gatherings.
It’s also worth noting that the unit was left intentionally empty, allowing the next occupant to fully customize the home to their needs.
Continuing on, we discover the dining area - again with captivating views over the bay and the iconic Marina Bay Sands.
A dry kitchen is set to the side, and it could easily double as a bar counter.
The wet kitchen is situated further down. It’s well-lit, and set in a spacious galley layout, with direct access to an open terrace, providing glimpses of the Singapore Straits.
Moving on, a passageway leads to the family room, connecting the penthouse's five bedrooms while ensuring a private retreat from the main common areas. The bedroom wing comprises generously sized rooms, each revealing stunning views of the water.
3 bedrooms are set on this wing, with the 2 initial bedrooms sharing a common bath.
The 3rd bedroom is accompanied by a private bath, with all these bedrooms, and the initial kitchen linked by a long open terrace.
On the opposite wing, you’ll find the larger bedrooms. The master bedroom is undoubtedly spacious, with another open terrace, this time overlooking the CBD.
It can be combined with the adjacent room (also an ensuite) to create a seamless open floor plan with a walk-in wardrobe and a lounge area.
The master bath features dual sinks, a bathtub, a separate shower area, and even a sauna.
Heading to the upper levels, we find a number of utility areas, like a common bath and shower, located right by a long entryway with glass ceiling panels running all the way down. A wet kitchen is set at the end of the entryway.
Outside, we find a 25-meter lap pool, making it one of, if not, the largest private indoor pool in Singapore - complete with sweeping bay views.
Right next to it is a steam room for both the owners and guests to utilise after their dips.
A sky patio is set on the opposite wing. This area is perfect for hosting barbeques, and could also be converted into an outdoor garden if desired.
Stairs lead up to the sky deck, with panoramic views from north to south.
This space is entirely customisable, and could be renovated into a cigar lounge, sky study, or an enclosed observatory deck overlooking the cityscape.
As always, special thanks to the owners and the listing agent, Edwin for allowing us to tour this incredible penthouse. If you’re interested in finding out more about this home, you can contact Edwin directly at: bit.ly/edwin-w... or check the listing here: bit.ly/marina-....

For the price of the house, the finish especially in the kitchen and doors looks a bit cheap. I’ve experienced this in average condos in Singapore ranging 1MM-2MM too. Generally white goods and finishing are not in good quality

It looks like it was designed by a committee of parking garage engineers. The private entrance looks like the elevator lobby in a tenement building. inside, It has all the charm of a hospital post-op ward and the feature wall should be sent back to the 1980's porno it was taken from. On the other hand the minute the sun hits the side of the building, it can double as a crematorium. So there is that.

There is such a huge difference in taste level between NY luxury apartments versus asian luxury apartments. I can't believe that for $60m, you get those cheap looking elevators, those dated orangey flooring and baseboards, the kitchen is looks like a rental, the window panels, the doors, etc. Everything just looks cheap and basic. It looks like a relatively cheap rental apartment unless you see the view.

I tend to be put off by local property videos... but I was put at ease by Reuben's unpretentious, un-'try-hard' and chill vibe. Much appreciated. As for the property... it's too bad the furnishings seem.. pretty standard, totally unmatched to its location and supposed prestige and price point. But I guess that's a good thing, since the unit's set up essentially as a blank canvas. Wish I could live there one day!

I love your enthusiasm man, but i think that the window panes are a mega deal breaker here, they not only obstruct the wonderful Singaporean Skyline and Bay Area, but they sortof look like window panes from classic american houses in the 1940's, they don't scream "luxury" at all, unlike modern style windows that are mostly glass with the panes at the sides. If there were no obstructive panes all over the place, that penthouse would have a huge difference in vibe and design. Im hoping that the architect realizes this and makes changes.

Each room should have its own bathroom when paying for more than $60mln! With over 10,000 sqft, yet the rooms are still pathetically small. Paying $60mln for the view definitely not worth it, a $20mln GCB makes more sense.

For the price and total size of the place, the smaller bedrooms seems a little too small, sharing a relatively unremarkable bathroom. I would have expected each with their own ensuite at least. Unless they're intended for live in staff, but the size and access to prime balcony is little too much for that intention. Feels like they squished everything into that one floor and ran out of ideas for upper floors except to put a pool up there.

Give every bedroom a fully glass wall to enjoy the views, but then have it connected to a balcony so that anyone else in the place can walk right past it, meaning you have to keep the curtains closed if you want any kind of privacy. This is why 2 story houses put the bedrooms on the top floor, to make it so you can have a big window without people being able to stare into your room. I really hate when the people designing these houses pay no attention to what actually living in them would be like.

This type of penthouse is for the Billionaires of this world only... Unfurnished and 60 million... Besides the big ticket features - location, height, view, pool, rooftop - the rest of the apartment looks quite basic. No idea if the existing fixtures are any expensive - only the Living lounge & dining looks like marble flooring. Take away the big ticket features and it could be a million dollar home maybe? Hehehe. Damn. I don't understand the insanely rich... do people who can buy these homes even watch youtube? xD Thanks for the video though. Quite eye opening to know with details how massive the divide of rich and poor is in Singapore.

Did you overdub your voice in the video? Given how empty the unit was, I'm sure the recording of your voice in the unit itself would've been full of reverb but the actual recording seems to be completely dry (as in no reverb).

It feels claustrophobic for a large space and leaves me with a dystopian sense of feeling.

In pockets and purses, green paper flies, Yet, beneath the surface, discontent lies. In the land of dollars, where commerce thrives, A deeper woe in each bill survives. Paper and ink, symbols of wealth, Yet inequalities hide in financial stealth. A system where some struggle and strain, While others in opulence, their fortunes gain. Unequal faces on the currency's face, A reflection of disparities in the race. In the green folds, a story untold, Of economic gaps, vast and bold.

60m price is riddiculous. Watch Erik Van Conover reviewing a 54m Penthouse 76 in NYC, that property lives up to the price tag rather than this one.

Tip don’t cut out the video to show the views just continue so viewers can see how each room connects. We didn’t see the 3rd floor at all just the view

Would it sell faster if they staged it with some expensive rented furniture and artwork? At least it would help the buyer understand the scale of the rooms and potential decorating ideas. "Blank canvas" is a positive spin but, to me, it looks depressingly empty and soulless.
