Nince vintage bars both thick and non thick. I got a couple of those 5oz Swiss of America rolos with a rarer design. Liberty was out of Texas and Star out of Cali. Love me some nice thick Homestake Mining bars!

American Pacific Mint started in 1965 according to the Library of vintage ingot books I have that my Pop passed onto me. Hope this get y started down the right track. Sometimes old books r better than the internet. Good luck KK

Does the San Francisco mean old silver coins from the San Francisco mint were used to make them? Does the CC mean Carson City? (on the 10 Oz thin bar.)

Good question. San Francisco is where the assay office is located and the CC is a mint mark from the Continental Coin Company. They produced these bars in 1981 from silver purchased from the SF Assay office
