The best skate clips of Stacy Peralta, the creator of the bones brigaide, early skateboarding pioneer, and the man who taught skating legends Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen.

I bought my first skateboard, at Safeway drugstore, for $11.00, back in the 70s. I still have it.

That looks like the pipe at Skatopia in Buena Park. Boy does that bring back memories. I was just a kid but I remember trying to get up as high as I could going down that run. Much harder than you'd think. Sadly, Skatopia was demolished long ago. Thanks for the memories! One day word got around he would be showing up to a big backyard plywood 1/2 pipe somewhere in Norwalk or Downey. My friend and I somehow made our way there and watched the Dogtown crew rip it. I was nowhere near good enough to give it a try. lol.

So cool to see this pop up on KZfaq again . Stacy is an iconic legend now . Also seeing “ Mellow cat “ taking pics & shooting videos in the half pipe skating scenes was cool also . Skateboarder magazine RULED back in the ‘70’s 😎👍. Glad to see this is still being shown .

There are amazing people in many disciplines nowadays, but I think 70's put out the most creative and talented individuals. Access to information is great but we are flooded with so much that is harder to focus, be dedicated and commit to stuff like people did used to do.

Yo did Stacy Peralta invent the hand pads? I don’t feel like googling it. The way he’s sliding on concrete at fucking 15mph.

@@TheThinkplayguitar Man, dudes like Cliff Coleman were doing this style of skating since the early 70's, i'm sure that the pads were already invented way before this movie was made

No, the best clips with Stacy Peralta are the earliest ones, when he rode the banks with style, and still had long straight hair. When skateboarding was purely a complement to surfing. Before it became an ambitious and self-conscious sport.
