It's time for the next instalment of our new series, in which we compare the stadiums found in two different countries. This time it will be France and Italy, and it will be a top-flight encounter. Ligue 1 and Serie A are some of the strongest competitions in Europe, and there is no lack of fine stadiums to be seen. We take a look at the venues in eight categories, and have selected one venue from each country in each category. Are you feeling the pressure?
Both countries are at different stages in the development of their stadium infrastructure. France hosted the World Cup in 1998 and the Euros in 2016, so its stadiums are truly state-of-the-art. Italy last hosted a major event in... 1990, which is quite a long time ago. But the country is slowly embarking on a real stadium revolution that will change the whole situation, all thanks to the upcoming Euro 2032.
