The Suzuki S-Cross isn't the most well known Suzuki model around with only a handful people knowing the true potential of what it could do. But the boys at Engineering Exponent and Wolf Performance Tuning have put the very potent 1.6 DDiS engine found in the Suzuki S-Cross to the test! By slapping on a Garrett Turbo and some other stuff around the car, the S-Cross 1.6 DDiS now produces 200 BHP and well over 450 Nm of torque! Want to know more about this manic build? Yesterday i saw KL registration swift in the traffic. It was totally chapri mods. 1-16 inch wheel with 205 section tyre 2-SWIFT written LED light on the bumper 3- EAT MY DUST written on rear window 5- After market ugly looking tail lamp 6- 0% tuned engine. But why 16inch wheel ?😂😂 Kerala is well known for such chapri mods.

I enjoy luring sporty little cars to mid acceleration battles in mine. Last victim was sporty Audi A2 that tried to impress girl in co driver seat while overtaking me. I was waiting in 4th gear at 2k rpm and than i plant the foot down when he was few meters behind me. He stopped trying after that. Mine is stock 2016 4grip with 180k km and still pulling strong.. I am thinking about light tune, engine is in great shape, most of its 180k was driven on highways.. First Suzuki i owned was red 89 Swift GTI than 05 red Swift 1.5gs than 2010 SX4 1.6 4x4 than 2016 scross ddis all grip and now 2023 Swift 1.2 hybrid all grip that my dad bought him self for the retirement. So you can say Suzuki is in my blood.

Sorry for noob question, does the DDIS 320 comes with 5 speed manual in Zeta version? I found one in olx which has 5speed gearbox and the owner dealer said it's a 1.6 diesel. The car is in Kolkata and I won't be able to go there and check if the car is actual 1.6 or just a 1.6 badge is pasted on the back.

No, the 1.6 always came with a 6-speed gearbox in all its variants. The 5-speed ones claiming to be 1.6 is definitely a re-badged one. The other difference in 1.6 scross from the normal ones are the silver roof rails apart from the larger engine which you can check in the bonet

So no one is gonna talk about the fact that the actual bhp of the car is way lesser than 200 horsepower, because the car made 200 crank horsepower, so the power while it reaches the wheel is gonna be alot less.

The intake is going to suck hot air into the system if you didn't close the air filter in a box ... I don't know who is the engineer engineered this ... It's very basic man ... Many doing this mistake just because the sound of the engine makes better

This is amongst the last "real" Suzukis sold in India. Maruti Suzukis of the old were very well built, and greatly engineered. Such things are yet to be appreciated in a market which starting buying cars recently relative to the rest of the world, hence, the tincans with excellent touchscreens.
